This is one of the best restaurants we have been to in a while. Very local and casual with warm, friendly staff who seem to get pleasure in serving you and seeing you enjoy their food. We went for dinner (it closes at 7:30 PM) and each had a fish platter for about $8--grilled talapia that was out of this world it was so good, plantains, white rice and the best red beans I ever ate, cooked with some potatoes and red peppers, plus delicious grilled bread with butter. This place also serves breakfast and lunch and has daily specials on weekdays--we are going next on a Thursday when some of the specials include BBQ ribs and pork chops at great prices. There are also wonderful baked goods--many choices, this time we settled on guava cookies.
If in the area, give this wonderful place a try--you cannot go wrong. It is in a small strip mall on the southwest corner of Forest Hill Blvd.and Kirk Road
