“Excellent Food, decent service & atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2014

We have eaten at several Morton's including this one, and although we had an enjoyable evening with very good food, it left us wondering what seemed to be missing since the change in ownership of the chain. Our steaks were good, our sides were good (horse radish mashed potatoes) and the carrot cake was wonderful. The service was pretty good, but not great. The atmosphere seemed a little bit lacking in this location, but maybe it was just our table position in the middle of the floor?

It's hard to knock a Morton's with their quality reputation, but it just seems like it isn't "knock-you-socks-off" like it used to be.

“BEST filet mignon ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2014 via mobile

We debated about coming to Morton's because of the varied ratings. Boy, am I glad we came! It was a slow night as summer isn't "high season" in south Florida and it was a Tuesday. That being said, valet parking is awesome, with the first two hours free AND the very helpful Morton's staff arranging for your car to be waiting at the door (rather than walking to the Valet service) when you leave. We decided on the 4 course fixed price special. 1st course: A delicious "Ahi Tuna Tower" for me and the "Five Onion Soup," for my husband. 2nd course: a tasty chopped spinach salad for me and a really fine tomato and fresh mozzarella cheese salad for him. 3rd course: THE BEST FILET MIGNON I HAVE EVER EATEN! I've had many and this 6oz. gem was the best. My decision to add the black truffle butter made me want to have this entree about 3 nights a week, minimum. My husband had similar comments about his filet - perfectly cooked, and perfectly tasty, even without the truffle butter. We both selected the fresh green beans sautéed in garlic and EVO for our side. The fixed price menu is advertised as having slightly smaller servings -- well, not for the green beans (or the salads)! ONE serving of this side dish would have been beyond adequate. Desserts, which we took back to our hotel for a late night snack, were yummy. Chocolate mousse and authentic key lime pie. I'm thinking I want to go back tonight! A shout out to our server, John. He was attentive but not intrusive, professional, and very personable.

“Male bartender - so unprofessional!!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2014

We dine at Morton's all the time, at a number of locations and many times at the Palm Beach location. We enjoy our visits, usually. Tonight....wow. WOW...in a bad way. We were in the bar and had showed up early with some local friends to celebrate and use some frequent diner birthday dollars. The male bartender had some of his friends show up and showed an obvious preference to them (let's just say these people did not look like your typical Morton's crowd). We were there to watch the Heat game, and the Chicago Blackhawks game. While its a no brainer that the Heat game would be on, we arrived plenty early and asked for the Blackhawks game to be on. We were watching it and enjoying our even. Without asking us, the bartender turned our tv to an obscure baseball game that only they cared about. (There were other tv's available for them to watch their game on in the bar but they had the bartender turn our tv's on to their program.) When we objected, the bartender became confrontational with US!!! Seriously??? Isn't there an honor code in the bar about first come first serve? Besides, we were on one end of the bar watching our games, there were open tv's on the other end of the bar that they could watch their game on! It became such a scene that even the wait staff chimed in that we were right! The bartender created an environment was hostile and a near bar fight. Seriously....this is MORTON'S!!! This guys should be fired for his preferential treatment of his buddies over the best interest of other patrons in the place. Shame on him!

“A Perfect Meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2014

On the way to the Florida Keys we stopped here for a rather late dinner. The restaurant was packed! Glad we had made a reservation. It was interesting to see the beautiful cuts of meat and watch the grilling while waiting briefly for our table. We started with a shared Caesar salad. I had the mixed grill with a 6 oz. filet, 3 grilled shrimp and 2 bacon-wrapped scallops. My fiancé ordered the 8 oz. center cut filet. All were perfectly grilled. We shared an order of asparagus with Balsamic glaze and sea salt. This meal has become a benchmark for us to measure every other steak dinner against. Pricey, but worth every penny.

“best steakhouse in palm beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2014

We always forget about Morton's and when we go we say that it's really the best steakhouse in town. For us, the Flagler Steakhouse is easier to go to and has an outdoor terrace. But the food is better here and it's not as noisy.

This is what we wrote in 2012 and again last year.

Last night, we were at Morton's with another couple and we had a terrific, well served dinner. I prefer the veal chop. Dale prefers the small fillet. We split a chopped tomato and onion appetizer and then split an order of potato skins and a side of creamed spinach. More than enough.

I'm told that the desserts are great and servers push to take orders of souffles when they take your order. Me, I have no room for dessert so I have no opinion.
