“Terrific Theatre in West Palm Beach”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

If you live in West Palm Beach or in the neighboring communities and you enjoy live theatre, you should take a close look at Palm Beach DramaWorks, West Palm Beach's longest residing and leading regional, professional theatre. Palm Beach DramaWorks 218 seat main auditorium is located in the former Cuillo theatre. It occupies a great location on the bottom Clematis Street, the city's premiere entertainment district and adjacent to the newly renovated downtown waterfront.

We're originally from Boston where we had annual subscriptions to the Huntington Theatre Company, the American Repertory Theater, the Lyric Stage, and the Speak Easy Stage. While each of the theaters had their own missions, the performances were consistently interesting, entertaining and well produced. For over three years, we have developed the same joy in coming to Palm Beach DramaWorks.

It's current production of A Raisin in the Sun was great. The cast was professional, the staging beautiful and, as always, the size of the theatre lends a degree of intimacy with the actors and the audience. With dozens of great restaurants on or around Clematis Street and with a curtain of 8 pm, its easy to have a wonderful evening of food and theatre. Particularly when the theatre is Palm Beach DramaWorks.
