“Great Indian Food in West Palm Beach”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

Indus is a very good Indian restaurant. While West Palm Beach is not known for a wide variety of high quality ethnic restaurants, there are definitely some worth knowing about. Indus Indian & Herbal Cuisine is one of them.

We've eaten at Indus a number of times and we have always been pleased. Indus is somewhat off of the beaten path. It is located in a small strip mall just off of Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard, a commercial street full of office buildings and large, box stores. There is plenty of free parking directly in front of the restaurant. The dining room is large and brightly lit. There is a full bar. The menu is extensive with offerings using recipes from north and south India. We've tried many different menu items. We particularly enjoy the Dosa, a South Indian specialty that doesn't often make its way onto Indian menus. On our most recent visit, we had vegetable Pakora, Shrimp Mughalai Cashew Korma, a mixed Tandoori platter and a variety of breads. All were delicious. That was in addition to the complimentary starters and sauces brought to the table when we were seated.

Our only off note of the evening was somewhat slow service. The restaurant was hosting a large, private party and the kitchen was not able to keep pace for the other diners in the restaurant. This was the first time we have encountered this problem at Indus and we'll chalk that up to a one-time issue that we hope not to have again.

We think that you'll enjoy your meal here particularly if you are looking for well-executed, delicious Indian cooking.

“Unpleasant changes at Indus”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

Since my initial review, there have been changes in management and subsequently changes in prices, quality of food and service. Diners must watch what the menu offers to be sure that is what they receive, i.e. medium shrimp substituted for large shrimp. At the higher prices now, this is all the more important. Drinks can take 20 minutes, and that includes a request for a bottled beer! The last two visits, my entree order was "forgotton." My final visit, it took 45 minutes for a cup of soup to be served and there was only one other customer in the restaurant. What a shame for a restaurant that had such a promising beginning.

“A hidden gem”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

Sunday Brunch buffet - very good.
Location - you would miss it if you weren't looking for it - hidden behind a corporate area close to I-95 off Palm Beach Lakes Blvd in WPB.
The Food was fresh, flavorful and even for American standards, just spicy enough.
The service was fine and the restaurant was clean, presentable and newer looking.
Next time I'm in the mood for Indian, Indus is where you'll find me.

“Simply try it.”
Reviewed August 24, 2012

We have found this restaurant only thank to the good reviews we have found.
It is located in an industrial part of PB and you will not find it by chance: you have to look for it.

However I have tried indian food all other the world and this one is among the top I have ever tried.

All the food we have tried was worth the visit. If you like indian food just one suggestion: go there!

“Thumbs Up!”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

Restaurant is located behind the Forum Towers that are located on Palm Beach Lakes Blvd.

I went for the Sunday brunch buffet

What I like:
-Food was tasty and fresh
-Servers were prompt
-Restaurant appeared clean with furniture in good shape
-Great price. $10.99 for regular buffet or $15.99 to then include beer, wine and champagne.

What I did not care for:
-I would have prefered a different location as its located in a strip plaza that looks like it needs a bit of tlc.

Would I return? Yes

On another note, this buffet is smaller than the competitor Saffron, however in my opinion, the food tastes better at Indus.
