Description: Cafe Centro is a staple of Downtown Northwood. We are an upscale Italian restaurant that offers a line of Northern Italian gourmet food featuring innovative, premium pastas and a rich selection of seafood. With its inclusive list of wines, drinks, and signature dishes, there will always be something for everyone! The cuisine is high quality at a fair price and ranged from Free Range Chicken to fresh seafood and homemade pasta's and Gourmet Pizza. The Cafe Centro Piano Bar has entertainment seven nights a week during the High Season and the Piano player starts at Seven O'clock. Our Piano Room is warm and cozy but, elegant as well as charming. We also offer dining in our atmospheric main front room, and on our outdoor veranda along side of Bougainvilleas and lush greenery and beautiful Gardenia.

“Great Italian Food and Music in West Palm Beach”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

On our last visit to West Palm Beach, my best friend joined my husband and I for a few days and I wanted to step out of our usual zone of never leaving Singer Island. I'd been curious about Cafe Centro so we made a reservation on a Saturday night - not so easy as this place is jumping and very popular. We were able to garner a table in the room where a piano performance starts at around 7pm on Saturday and I was glad we did. My best friend loves live music in a restaurant and this really fit the bill - a charming musician, talented, pleasant and with a great repertoire of show tunes and hit songs. This went really well with Italian food at a level of authentic that I rarely find in a restaurant in the US. The food was delicious and very fresh - just made mozzarella, just squeezed lemon juice over the calamari, fresh pasta and the angel hair pasta was truly angel hair thin, tomato sauce very freshly made and parmesan freshly ground. But an additional level was the homemade rolls and all of the other little touches that tell you this restaurant really knows how to cook and serve Italian food with care, attention and love. Portions were very generous and I must admit I ate a dangerous amount of food but just couldn't stop! I can't wait to return! I'm so glad that I finally tried Cafe Centro.

“Wonderful dining atmosphere and service”
Reviewed August 2, 2013 via mobile

Our first time and it was truly splendid. The choices were diverse and extremely tasty as was the reasonably priced entrees and wines. We are headed back again soon with friends. Thanks to Carlos.

“Very Good Food”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

This is a return visit and we were just as happy as the last time.

The Bronzino Italian sea bass was wonderful, moist and flavorful. The steamed mussels in the tomato sauce was done to perfection.

Definitely will be back again.

“food good”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

food is good but service stinks. It takes forever for someone to wait on you. When you walk in everyone ,the staff is in a hub just talking. Most of the servers have a attitude problem.

“A Lively Night Out At Cafe Centro in The Northwood Area”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

We dined with friends last night for the first time at Cafe Centro on their recommendation. Much to our surprise, we had missed this wonderful restaurant even though it has been open for seven years and we thought we had tried pretty much everything in our area! Well, we don't dine often in the Northwood section of town and we won't make that mistake again. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly, seated promptly, and entertained thoroughly. The menu is extensive and diverse, with a wide selection of meat, fish, and pasta dishes. The lentil soup, a special offering, was superb, the salads fresh and savory, the branzino well prepared, and the osso buco truly excellent. To top it, there was fantastic musical entertainment all evening with the raucous and talented singer/keyboard payer who performs there Thursday through Saturday nights with a trumpet player on Sundays. The bill was more than fair and the enthusiastic, and the crowd, many appearing to be regulars, had a blast. Not a quiet, cozy place although another area was more removed from the entertainment and quieter, but a great venue for a fun evening out. A genuine and welcome surprise and a great new option. We will be bringing friends back for sure!
