My husband and I thought this zoo was just ok. On the plus side, they do have a wide variety of animals and it is fairly shady for a hot day. However, the zoo is dirty, smelly and does not seem well kept. The animals have lots of hiding places and we probably saw only about 50% of the animals at all, and the ones we could see were mostly just lying around or partially hidden. Not terribly exciting. My 9 year old daughter did really like it - I think mainly because of the carousel ride which she loved. It is sort of unique - rather than horses, you are riding wild animals - there's a dragon, tiger, hummingbird, etc. There is an extra charge for this - I think it was $2 for a very short ride.

The Zoo was a very nice trip during a recent weekend in Palm Beach. My wife and I were looking for something to do and decided to give it a shot.

The admission is a bit pricey (almost $40 for the two of us), but the zoo happens to be run very well, and because the admission fees likely go a long way to care for the animals, we didn't mind at all. Once inside, there were all kinds of animals, from exotic birds to large mammals - something for everyone. It took us about 1.5 - 2 hours to complete the walk of the grounds, so it's definitely not an all day affair. We sat in on the baby alligator and bird exhibit as well, which was very cool. Definitely recommended, especially for families.

The animals are well taken care of, and there are live shows scheduled throughout the day. The largest animal here is a tiger, so don't expect to see elephants, giraffes, or hippos. There is a carousel for the kids, a gift shop, snack bar, and a full service restaurant. On hot days, let the kids run through the giant fountain...or run through them with your kids. :-)

A perfect little zoo with birds and all types of animals. So clean and very well kept. Friendly employees who really love and care about their zoo. Great children programs during the day; a great way for kids to learn about animals. Their monkey island is outstanding and such a variety of types of monkeys. Birds everywhere, incredible greenery, plants, bridges and so many different animals. A perfect place for kids to explore nature. There are always many adults there with cameras taking pictures. Great photo opps!! I enjoy going there so much I am now a member.

This is a small zoo in comparison to some of big zoos across the United States. However, it is a very nice zoo, having some unusual animals is a very friendly setting. Unlike some of the bigger zoos you can get closer to the animals. They have specific feeding times for some of the animals where someone explains about that particular animal & some programs or shows with the animals
