Have been many times throughout the year and participated in the kids summer camp program as well. Pleasant staff and recommended. Friday night programs and other promotions appreciated.

“Christmas Break With Visitors”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

Always a wonderful day's adventure and if you top it off with a long lunch at this restaurant you feel the prices, just a bit high, are worth it! Service is friendly and helpful. This was first visit after hurricane restructuring and we found the entire zoo has been upgraded considerably. Zookeepers are uniquely friendly and share their knowledge easily on walkabouts. A must for vacationers.

“Great way to spend the day!”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

We visited the zoo in January 2013 with two 5-year-olds. It was a lovely zoo. it is not commercialized and rather is very natural and quiet. The layout allows for casual strolling from area to area under shade with much natural wildlife to see between exhibits. There is a good variety of animals, and most exhibits had so many of the animals in them that it was easy to find the animals and watch them interact. Make sure to take a swimsuit and a towel for the kids so that they can play in the water fountain - our kids loved that!

“An unespected Oasis”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

You wont find weird animals, or many of them for that matter, but if you are looking for a calm and beautiful place to unwind while having the kids fully engaged, dont think it twice. Very clean, healthy looking animals, some of them, like the Florida panthers, even having some serious fun.
