We visited 1/14/14 -- nothing like it...especially for the price! First impressions are deceiving - it looks small and remote from the outside, but it does not disappoint. Our tour guide was AMAZING - you could tell she absolutely loves the animals and her job. There is a very diverse group of animals in well-maintained habitats - not depressing like a zoo. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and tells you personalized stories of each animal. You get the chance to hold/pet smaller animals, and get closer to lions and tigers than you could anywhere else. The tours are 1.5 hrs, 3 times a day - a reservation is required. They take your payment over the phone in order to hold the reservation - it is non refundable, but you can reschedule if something comes up. It's definitely worth the money. My husband and I thought it would be a reasonable price for what we thought we were going to get - but it was a better deal than we thought! And the sanctuary is non profit so all revenue goes straight back to the animals/sanctuary - well worth the money.
