“The most amazing place in the world!!!”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

This is the most amazing wonderful place in the world! The animals and creatures are so wonderful, you can tell they are happy loved and extremely well cared for, and there are many amazing animals, like the huge gorgeous liger! The people that work there are friendly and knowledgeable and obviously love the animals. The owner Mark and his wife Aneth are truly beautiful people, their life is making wonderful homes for these amazing animals, and they love the animals so much, and you can see it in the animals faces, how loved they are! I can't say enough about this place, being there makes me so happy! I donate as much money as I can as often as I can, since they need so much for these animals! Please visit and see for yourself!

“Unforgettable experience!”
Reviewed November 9, 2013 via mobile

This is our first time to visit Florida & I'm so glad we found this online. As animal lovers, when my husband told me about the private/by appointment only tour, I said yes w/o even asking.
We're amazed on how they managed to put a sanctuary in the middle of a residence area. And 'twas very peaceful & clean inside. Kat, our tour guide was very friendly & accomodating. She introduced discussed the situation of every rescued animal they have there. It was really heart melting. The highlight of our tour was when we meet & greet the 2 cubs. I will never forget our 30mins of playing with them. Someday, they'll be strong & proud lions that'll be released into the wild. The soon to be kings of the jungle!Thank u McCarthy's for the opportunity to see & appreciate God's creation through these animals. And for your heart to rescue, protect, & give them a chance to live a life they deserve to have once again. ❤️

Note: Try to buy something from their souvenir shop. Coz in every dollar you spent, one of their charities doubles the amount you pay for the sanctuary to help feed & maintain the animals.
And be generous to your tour guide as well by giving them a tip.

Thank Ann A

“A real show of big cats.”
Reviewed November 8, 2013

This is a small sanctuary behind a private home, in a residential, rural neighborhood. The McCarthy's have a big heart and have done a great job accepting the animals, and offering them very clean, healthy care. It is not a typical tourist set-up. It is an armature set-up, but to the highest quality. The tours need to be booked in advance, and last about 90 minutes (outside among tree cover) It is great to see active animals and especially the big cats, up-close. They have a "liger", Royal White tigers, lions, Cervals (sp?), Lynx, and many more things to see. A fun and somewhat unique destination, and good for all ages. Kind of hard to find. Coconut Drive is the same as 130 Ave (or there-about). We wish we knew that in advance because Google Maps does not indicate it.
