I have a daughter with autism and they were so accommodating. From the wonderful people in reservations(Lisa & her supervisor) all the way through to checking out! Excellent room service, full kitchens available for special diets. Already made another reservation, can't wait to get back! Thank you Saddlebrook Resort Tampa!!!

We came for a Jr. Tennis program. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and stayed one week. Ours was near the pool and in good condition. The cleaning staff on day 3 and 4 were horrible. We had to have them come back and give them directions in simple cleaning, while they did it. They didn't vacuum, wipe any counter down, pick up garbage or change the sheets, even with the 3rd-day change me sign placed on. I did make a complaint the first day to the front desk and the second day the cleaner was just as bad if not worse. The food at the Steak House is very expensive and horrible. The salad bar, is $21 and not fresh and not much to it. Very poor quality. The breakfast buffet does not compare to chain hotels at all. The tennis for Jr.'s is intense. Good program, but an instructor seemed to push for privates to pad his pocket instead of out of the interest in guiding my child. The weekly program seemed to fizzle out and there was no closure. No one met with us to conclude the week training and say "good bye" "here is the progress made" seemed different than all the other sports camps we've attended considering it rates itself as the top.
The Jr. golf program is not as high standard as the tennis yet, but the young local pro my child had for a lesson was wonderful and spiked her interest more in the sport. Good clothes in the Golf Pro shop and very friendly people! I couldn't say the same about the tennis pro shop.
The grounds staff and workers around are very friendly and wonderful. The resort is a bit dated and the fitness center is not the best for a training facility. The grounds are beautiful and green. Many ponds would look better if they cleaned them more often and took out the scum and old tennis balls that have mold on them. (Doesn't look cared for) I'd advise to rent a car as roads are easy to use and you can get food for your fridge, go to restaurants and malls nearby. We may or may not come back. It is the connection and relationship your child makes with instructors at training camps that inspire them to return. Don't know if we made that here.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms in cluster 3 in front of the pool. Upstairs is good, you don't hear the people dow...

I worked with Erik in the shipping department to send several items out for a client who stayed over a month at Saddlebrook! Outstanding service and very informative on the process. Thanks for prompt and courteous service!

Lois Savage in the Reservation departments is outstanding, goes above and beyond the call of duty and love the resort. Great place to stay and relax and enjoy all kinds of activities!

Beautiful setting, surrounded by native birds and even a few alligators(small, not scary). For the most part the resort was very nice, though some buildings and landscaping could use a little updating. The one bedroom suite was very spacious. We were there with a group so we received reduced rates and for what we paid I felt like it was a very good deal. I felt like the restaurant choices where limited. Not much for families with young kids. Not much to do really close by. We drove 30-60 min to reach about everything we did.

Took the family with me on a business conference for the weekend. The staff was friendly and nice but the kids were bored. The pool was so full they went back to the room. They walked around to find something to do, the shoppes were for seniors and the pool games and movie was for little kids, leaving the 12 and 17 year old complaining. At least they had good cable TV and comfortable beds. Looked at the restaurant menus, very pricey $50 for a filet, $30 for chicken, had to go off property to eat. Didn't like that you pretty much have to valet park, the self parking lot is miles away from the main building. The valet was good and efficient; we are just a get in our car and go family. The food at the conference was good, lunch only. At our break the coffee and tea station was empty, that to me is terrible, we have planned break times, so you could at least fill up the refreshments. The presenters had audio problems all day, I don't know who issue it was? Our room was nice but the furniture needed to be cleaned and we could not sit on our balcony because is was also dirty. I don't see any reason to go back, especially with kids.

The Saddlebrook Resort, is a magnificent property, surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Peaceful and quiet. Excellent golf course, tennis facilities for competition training, and ideal for daily jogging. The pool, Jacuzzis are very nice and well kept.
Food & Beverage service in all the outlets is first class.
The staff is professional and very helpful.
Will be back.

Room Tip: We stayed at room 215. Simply Great !!

This was our first visit to Saddlebrook. It's a nature lovers dream...quite...relaxed. The rooms and suites are large, well furnished, and comfortable.
We liked the on-site steakhouse, but poolside the resturant was marginal at best. Our jerk club sandwiches took forever to come out, and were, in our opinion, gas station quality. When we complained, the manager came out and told us "that was their best seller", and reluctantly took them back for something else.
The breakfast buffet was OK, but pricey at $18 bucks, we thought.
My massage at the spa was fantastic...
Overall, a good visit, but avoid the poolside cafe....
