“fantastic experience !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2014

from the minute you step into this restaurant, you know you are going to have a fantastic experience: you are greeted with a smile, and the atmosphere and decor are awesome. But once the food arrives, it is a feast! we had the clam chowder - awesome. then the ecuadorian ceviche - finger-licking! couldn't get over how good it tasted. then the mango man roll - so delicious... and the beets salad with micro greens - terrific! all superb ingredients, the tomatoes in the ceviche were so tasty...
the manager Buu came to check if everything is ok, and Diana who took care of us was so friendly and knowledgable.
We can't wait to return and try more items from this great menu! this is going to be our favourite place for dining

“Had a nice dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2014

We went to the seahorse with family and friends and had the pix fix menu. The food was delicious and we enjoyed it. Three stars because the server was a little confused regarding who ate what dish and a little confusion with the bill. All and all it still was an awesome meal for a reasonable price. We would definitely come back again.

“Great table by the aquarium!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2014 via mobile

The Crab Mac-n-Cheese appetizer was really good. It had nice sized chunks of crab in it. We loved the New England clam chowder, too. Our entrees were salmon and the sea bass. They were great dishes. Nick, our server, was very helpful in answering all of our questions. This was our first time eating here and I had a few of them.
We were not thrilled when we saw a customer with a dog, and no, the dog was not marked as a service animal. Animals do not belong in restaurants.
The Seahorse is on the small size in area which makes for a high noise level especially if you have a loud party at a table next to you. I think this is what needs to be worked on; otherwise the food and the atmosphere is really good.

“Such A Pity”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2014

I was looking forward to dining here for Valentine's Day. Arrived for the 8:30 reservation and waited by the door for 5 mins. after being told that the table was not ready. Then we were invited inside to sit at the bar. The walk way was very narrow from the back to the front. What a surprise when the wait staff was not able to prevent the dirty dishes from colliding with each other! We had a shower of chocolate fondue! It even landed on a diner who was seated beyond the bar while I was at the bar!
Okay, what got my goat was that No manager came to apologize. No staff member offered us napkins to clean us up. We actually had to grab paper napkins from the bar and then take a trip to the bathroom to "wash" ourselves off. I believe the only person who received any attention was the diner because her top was light coloured and we mentioned it.
Fortunately we all took this in good stride. They should have offered us some strawberries to go with the chocolate fondue :)
Bottom line, the manager should have trained the staff for such situations. Accidents happen.
I believe that they were not ready for such a busy night.
Okay, enough about the chocolate fondue shower.
Our chopped salad and lobster bisque were delicious. The salmon was another story. Over cooked on the edges and just plain dry and tasteless. This is a seafood restaurant? For the cost of this meal, we could have spent an additional $20 and had a fantastic meal with impeccable service at Top of The Point, Malcolm's or even Ruth's Chris. We wanted to dine locally and as we have enjoyed The Grille in the past, thought to patronize The Seahorse.
