Description: Eaton’s Beach Sandbar & Grill is dedicated to providing top-notch hospitality with a mouth-watering menu and a full-service bar in a relaxing atmosphere. Award-winning Chef Dave Del Rio has developed a “Florisiana™” menu, inspired by both Florida and Louisiana cuisine! Chef Del Rio combines “3 C’s and a little BS,” jovially referring to the five melded cooking styles of Cajun, Creole, Low Country, Barbeque and Spanish.

“Great setting, wonderful bar, average food, issues with neighbors”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

A number of people had recommended Eaton's Beach to us and we were happy to finally have had the opportunity to have a meal there. It became a series of bad news - good news issues. The first bad news was all the hostile signs posted by the neighbors as we drove up to the restaurant which contained a series of negative comments. Once actually inside (we sat outside on the deck), everything was wonderful with a lovely setting on the beach looking out on the lake. Service seemed to be a bit slow but not too bad but our meals were disappointing. We had shrimp & grits as well as a a creole flavored dish and found both to be okay but not very good. Undeterred, we both ordered desserts from a nice menu. Each of these was truly excellent. After our meal we stopped in on the lower deck at the bar. It was a very friendly place that seemed to be the true heart of the restaurant. Go for the bar or to have a great dessert. The meals are not up to the same level.

“"Disappointment"”
Reviewed July 25, 2014

Saturday July 26th - when we arrived we were told there was a 2-hour wait. Went to Bar and decided to eat which was a big mistake. Service was horrible. Found a table, waited 30 min and never saw a waitress. Finally about 45 min the waitress arrived. She was a little "miffed" that we ordered our own drinks from the bar. Ordered food, took another 45 min before our food arrived. We were told that they had to cook the chicken for the Chicken Caesar Salad which caused the long wait. When my salad arrived the chicken was cold almost frozen. The other food that was ordered by our friends was also not fit to eat. Hamburger was warmed in a microwave, rubbery and tasteless. The Bratwurst was so hard they could not even eat it. Beautiful place but I will never eat there again.

“I'll make it short n sweet til the next time we visit.”
Reviewed July 23, 2014

The outside restaurant deck is an awesome place to have lunch, overlooking Lake Weir with a rather pleasant breeze. Sadly, the day we went, the sky opened up in an effort to swallow the planet...or so it seemed. Still, the plastic curtains were secured in place, we stayed relatively dry, and watched an incredible lightning show!

The Bloody Mary was decent, with a nice celery-slim jim-etc flag
The Spanish catfish was delish: crisp, flaky, fresh and tasty.
Our server was very pleasant and handled the separate checks with a smile.
Biker friendly!

Theres a more casual lower area, which we did not visit, which apparently serves lighter fare outdoors.

Parking can be tricky, but they'll golf cart you in from the adjacent parking lot as required.

“Long wait, slow service, average food”
Reviewed July 23, 2014 via mobile

We were told an hour wait, at 80 minutes we asked about the wait time, they had lost our reservation and we had been waiting for no reason. We were finally seated and waited at least ten more minutes before a server ever came to the table. The food wasn't that great, there were a lot of gnats in the restaurant. I don't think we'll go back.

“Beautiful setting”
Reviewed July 21, 2014

Our first visit was a mild disappointment as the wait was exceptionally long however we found a seat on own beside the bar and had an enjoyable dinner, however the second visit was a different story as the wait we were told was 2 hours and gave them our cell number to be called when a table was available, since we had plenty of time we decided to have a seat at one of their many patio tables on a scenic deck a wait person delivered drinks to an adjacent table and proceeded to ignore us and others while chit chatting with her customer we continued to get irritated and left we drove 10 minutes to another restaurant and had finished eating when we got our table ready call. Very nice setting plan on making a total evening of your visit food is average. i ordered a pastrami sandwich which was served chunk style and was too dry to swallow without a beverage.
