We recently dined at Giovanni's Main Street Kitchen in Wauchula while staying at a nearby B&B. The Innkeeper had mentioned it was good (she gave us a few good recommendations). We got there early - around 6 pm and by the time we left, nearly all of the tables were full. Given the size of the town and that most people were locals, I thought that was a good testiment to the meal we had.
The menu states that food is cooked to order and to please be patient. We noticed we did have a slightly longer than your normal "chain" restaurant wait, but it was worth it--much better than 99% of the chains out there. The food was very good and the portions were a comfortable size - we didn't feel stuffed, nor did we leave hungry.
