“Great staff, nice rooms”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

Costa D'Este does a great job of welcoming you to the hotel. They made the exit from my car to the entrance to my hotel room seamless. The bellhop took care of everything as we checked in. They let us check in early, which was a major plus. My first impression of the hotel is that it's not as large as it looks. This was a positive, as I never felt any specific area was crowded in the hotel. The room was a perfect size for a couple with a 2 year old. The king bed was comfortable to sleep and relax in. The view of the pool and beach area was pristine.

Once we settled into the room, we hit the pool area. The pool was clean and warm. There are not many chairs by the pool area, so make sure to claim one early. After a refreshing dip, we hit the bar for our complimentary mojitos. The mojitos are refreshing, but the mint flavor was missing. I found that their other specialty drinks were much more satisfying.

We went out to dinner at a nearby restaurant and noticed that this is a quaint little town. They had a small concert in the town square, with many tourists and locals relaxing and enjoying the end of their day. Unfortunately, the concert and all the festivities were over by around 10pm. If you're used to a late-night scene, you may find Vero beach to be lackluster. However, going to sleep early may prove difficult if you're a light sleeper, as you could lightly hear music from the pool area from your room.

Our departure from the hotel was slower than expected, as we tried to leave at the last minute. It seemed everyone else at the hotel had the same idea. The staff handled it with grace and apologized for the wait, but it was easy to see that they were slammed.

We stayed at this beautiful boutique hotel in May. Room was spacious and very accommodating - huge bathroom! Pool area is large and the focal point of the hotel. Nice having the bar and restaurant service so close. Beach area is also right outside of the pool and bar area and is very clean and well organized.

Must agree with the other reviews concerning the staff - everyone was friendly, attentive and made you feel like royalty. Even the General Manager Ed Riley made a point to stop by and ask about our stay. Would definitely recommend - going back in March.

Room Tip: The beach view rooms are fantastic!

I spent a weekend at the hotel with my husband and two kids. It's a very nice property. The rooms are clean, up to date and well appointed. We had a two room suite with a beautiful ocean view. The location is in the heart of Vero Beach and if you've never been there before...you should note it is a very low key beach town. Perfect for simply relaxing or the type of vacation where you are content with the company you brought with you. You can walk to restaurants and to places for ice cream after dinner or coffee in the morning.
The hotel pool area was very nice, as was the beach. They provide an assortment of sunscreens at the towel pickup desk which was appreciated.
My only complaints were that they don't have a good quality rollaway bed on hand. My son had to sleep on an inflatable mattress on the floor. All hotels should have twin rollaway beds. Also, the price of a virgin strawberry daiquiri was a bit much at $9+ at the pool bar. The free mojitos made the price of virgin drinks easier to accept:).
Overall, it was a lovely hotel and I'd definitely recommend it to friends.

My family and I stayed at this quaint, beautiful hotel for two nights. We had an oceanfront room with two comfortable double beds. The staff are a wonderful, happy group, very eager to make your stay an enjoyable one. We had a delicious sandwich and yuca fries at the pool restaurant, reasonably priced. On the beach, there is equipment for rent. Again, very helpful people. It's a little gem of a place. There isn't a convenience store for a couple of miles, so you might want to stop to get your extras before you check in because you're not going to want to leave!

I would like to start by saying what a wonderful staff at this hotel, all very polite and kind. This is a great hotel in many facets, such as the showers, the cleanliness (superb), the pool area, and the staff, which is the best I have ever seen- bar none. Unfortunately, they dislike outside(cheaper) amenities- no soda machines, no coolers allowed at pool, no fridges in room- no outside (cheaper) amenities. I understand that the usual occupants probably earn more than I, so we are not used to this, but it is a classy place. I would recommend anybody to go here, beautiful beach and quiet, but if you like middle class food and drink you wil have to drive back toward I-95. Great food is available at Nino's Restaurant.

Room Tip: It is wonderful if you like full service everything, and they will provide it. I really want to emph...

My boyfriend and I just returned from a long weekend at the Costa. The staff was friendly and always accommodating. Found the rooms to be clean and comfortable, we were right across from the elevator but hallways were never noisy and we weren't bothered by the elevator. We were on the top floor since we requested a high floor and we didn't pay for an upgraded room so I wasn't surprised on the location, and we could still see the ocean and the pool from our balcony. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was big enough for both us of to get ready. Some friends we traveled with said their bathroom lacked privacy and was sort of in the middle of the room? But we had a traditional set up - no complaints. The AC was a little noisy but once asleep I didn't notice, I bet some people would complain that you could hear the system kick on but we slept through it. This may not be an issue in all of the guest rooms.

We stayed out by the pool until the bar closed, and the pool doesn't seem to close. We were swimming even at 11PM! Can't speak for the beach, we didn't go on it as we enjoyed the pool so much. We spent all of our time at the pool and the pool bar. Great drinks, fun staff. The pool was crowded on Saturday but much better on Friday & Sunday. Look for Cameron at the bar!

We ate lunch and found the food pretty good.. we are picky so we were impressed. The manager was always visible on the property and made sure to ask us about our stay. My only negative comment is that the pool towels were pretty pathetic.. thin and small so I would suggest bringing your own beach towels to line your chair and using the hotel's as an extra. It's not a huge deal you see this at a lot of resorts.. but would be annoying if you are laying out.

I would definitely recommend this hotel! Same location and better price as the Vero Beach Hotel and a better vibe.

my husband and i have a small business in south florida and never have a chance to go away. well we needed a break so we went to vero beach (1st time) and stayed at gloria's place! yes this hotel (in case you didn't know) is owned by gloria estefan.
1st of all for those who have never been to vero beach....you will be very pleasantly surprised. it is beautiful! now for the review....
this hotel is in a prime location in a stretch of beach called "central beach". you can leave your car parked and walk anywhere you'd need to go. not kidding...several great restaurants within seconds.....shops........ a nice park...
the hotel itself is very south beach art deco retro. stunning!. the pool area is very sleek and the beach....gorgeous.
we had an oceanview king on the 4th floor and when you walk into the room you feel like you're on a cruise ship. the back wall is the sliding glass door to your beautiful balcony which overlooks the beach and to your left is a giant "port hole" window. the bed was so comfortable that i (who have trouble sleeping) had a great night's sleep.
the staff....everyone is delightful and couldn't have been more helpful. david at the pool bar and persia at the front desk especially.
overall...it was a wonderful 2 days and we cannot wiat to return....in 2 weeks!!!
