We had a great meal at a fair price. The wine glasses were generously served. The fish was wonderful, and served the way I like. When fish is fresh, there is no need to cover it with a bunch of "old fish paraphernalia" like they do in some restaurants. This fish was grilled with a simple lemon butter and was out of this world. We'll definitely return.

We just had our Thanksgiving dinner here and it was excellent. We were interested in trying this new restaurant now occupying the space that had been Monte's. We were greeted promptly, seated, and our drink order taken immediately. Our server Jennifer was great - she explained and described everything, helping us to make our choices easily. There were breadsticks already at the table and they are very tasty. We started with the tomato and mozzarella appetizer which was exceptional. The balsamic vinegar was SO sweet and delicious! We were served a small bowl of pasta fagioli and then a limoncello between the appetizer and entree. Our Thanksgiving dinner was excellent - lots of meat, delicious stuffing, and vegetables that were crisp/tender. Very satisfying (not like some restaurant holiday meals that are so bland that it's worse than a frozen dinner). The moscato was very nice and the pumpkin cheesecake was a nice surprise - not too pumpkiny or cheesy. We can't wait to go back and try the regular menu!

While visiting Vero Beach we were looking for an Italian Restaurant we had been to in the past and found that it had closed and been replaced with Ristorante di Mare. We were met at the door by Edyta who was actiually the owner ane we decided to have a drink at the bar before dinner. After some conversation we felt that we had known her for many years. We sat down and were greeted by our server Wil who was very well versed in the specials that were available as well as the offerings that wereon the menu. After tasting the complimentary bruchetta and a small bowl of pasta fagioli which was to die for, we selected a first course of clams casino and eggplant rollatine. The clams were moist and plump and cooked perfectlly. The eggplant was lighthly breaded with only egg and flour. The ricotta filing was creamy and seasoned just right. Our next surprise was the complementary homemade Limoncella which was nicely chilled and had a great balance of sweetness versus the tartness of lemon. Next for me was the veal chop which was tender, juicy and had a wonderfull marsalla sauce combined with mushrooms that added an interesting earthyness to the dish. My wife opted for the shrimp with brocolli sauteed in garlic olive oile with a touch of chardonney. The shrimps were large, tender and succulent and the dish was served with just enough linguine which remained al dente even though it was simmering in the delicious broth. Our desert was a fabulous peach cream brulee topped with toasted slivered almonds. The next surprise was meeting chef John who was introduced to us by Edyta. We have been visiting Vero since 2006 and this was overall the best dining experiance we have had.

We have visited this restaurant three time since they opened earlier this year and have not once been disappointed. Of all of the many Italian restaurants in Vero Beach, and we have tried them all, this is by far the best. The food and service are consistently excellent. The food is authentic Italian fare with a respectable amount of choices along with their oh so good nightly specials. They have an excellent wine list and offer cocktails as well. The atmosphere is very nicely done and you never feel overcrowded. You begin with breadsticks and a small free offering of an appetizer from the chef. After ordering your meal, your waiter arrives with the most delicious bowl of Pasta e Fagioli and rolls. I have never had this soup so good since my grandmother from Italy used to make it. Before your meal arrives you are given an aperitif to cleanse your palate. You will not be disappointed in whichever main course choice you make. This is a must go to restaurant if you live or are visiting Vero Beach.

On a revisited trip to Di mare with a gift certificate from a friend wasn't so much a gift! To start off are server was cold compared to the friendly server we had last time. Not busy I know why!!! My husband that had the most expensive meal tasted like it was microwaved. I had the lobster sophia which lobster was hard as a rock then they saturated with a sauce thats supposed to be there signature sauce, that tasted like a bad alfredo sauce from a jar. Save your money!! server said under new management.
