No visit to Vero complete without visiting the Tides. Food is amazing and "A" for presentation! Fried green tomatoes won't disappoint. Joni is our favorite among the exceptional wait staff

Fancy food, pricey and white table cloths. Service could have been more attentive. A group of 8 at an early bird dinner maybe wasn't as important as the regular dinner crowd. I have been in more comfortable restaurants for dinner and an enjoyable evening with guests.

We had read the good reviews on Tides and went there for dinner last night. We had Kenny who was previously mentioned in another review and he was a wonderful waiter. Very friendly and wanting to please. I found the decor nice for a beachy type restaurant. If you were able to get a table outside it was very pretty. Our crab cakes were wonderful, very little filler and excellent flavors. The rest of our entrees were good. My grouper was a little over cooked but tasty otherwise and my husband had tuna which he said was excellent. We felt that Tides was worth the trip.

After researching and looking for good, fresh, seasonal cuisine, with European influence to celebrate an important birthday, we tried the Tides.
What a mistake. Don't believe everything you read. I have never had Rutabaga served with risotto in April. Note, this was a special of the day.
Service good but no better than Red Lobster. A white tablecloth does not make a restaurant and If you want to compare this to a good restaurant just sit and look around. The food matches the decor. Nothing tastefully, unless dusty plastic flowers through the window are your thing.
Most of their awards are at least 10 years old. That tells you all.

First of all, let me say that the food at The Tides was all very good, every dish. The reason that my overall rating wasn't higher is that everything else was pretty average. A fine dining experience involves other elements besides the food, such as the room, service, presentation of the dishes, etc. All of those elements were not particularly impressive. However, the food is surely worth the trip, as long as your expectations are in line with what they offer, in terms of a dining experience
