NOT visitor friendly. Given no information on the resort. All they were interested in was if you were a vacation member, if not you were treated as a second class citizen. Breakfast was terrible (overcooked) it was black brought me a new plate and dropped it on the table and said "I hope this is good enough for you...
Day we left we requested a wake up call, never called!

The resort was very clean, pool was nice and beach was very nice. Place was nice I would give it a 7 just so many little things they could of done better

Just returned from a five night stay at Disney's Vero Beach Resort. As a Disney Vacation Club Resort, this property offers everything from hotel rooms to larger units that can sleep anything from four to twelve.

We stayed in an inn room with a stunning ocean view on the fourth floor with a balcony. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Included are flat screen TV, VCR, microwave, coffee maker, dining table, iron/ironing board, etc. Beds were very comfortable and air conditioning worked perfectly.

There is a private beach where nicely padded chaise lounges, umbrellas, and cabanas are available. In addition, there are jet skis. The beach was exceptionally clean. If you prefer, you may swim in the beautiful pool which includes a large slide. Adjacent to the pool is a small putt-putt course, ping pong, billiards, and a food/bar area. In addition, beach volleyball, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a soccer field are available.

Obviously, this is a Disney property, so there are lots of family friendly activities including crafts, sporting events, surfing instruction etc. Although this is a fabulous place for kids, those without children will find it a delight for relaxation and/or activities of preference. There are two restaurants which are both very good, and a bar/restaurant on the second floor that offers burgers, pizza, etc. with optional outdoor seating and ocean views.

If you are looking for a relaxing beach getaway, I highly recommend this property. The only negative that I encountered was the Concierge. She seemed less than interested, and was not very knowledgeable about the area. My family will definitely return to this property.

Room Tip: Ask for an inn room with an ocean view on the fourth floor for the best views.

Myself, husband and 3 children aged 15,13 and 7 stayed here last August for 5 nights. We are DVC members but this was the first time we had stayed here. The room was huge we had a 2 bed villa and the views amazing. The only downside was that there wasn't much to entertain the kids on an evening but luckily they met friends and spent most nights in the pool. We have booked again for this August can't wait!!!

Great Relaxing Experience! The resort was at capacity during our visit but never felt crowded. Every cast member is top notch and always has a positive answer to any question.

We left an item in our room upon checkout and called them when we got home. They offered to ship it to us for free! That's the Disney difference!

A two night retreat from a larger family vacation. We took our 10 and 12 year old for a few days of Atlantic beach. It was great, and although it was mid March, the property was surprisingly quiet. The activities were well run, and the on site food was reasonable and tasty. I think if we had stayed longer we would have needed to go off site for a few meals. We brought enough for breakfasts and the fridge and microwave would serve for lunches. The staff were courteous. The beach is so close so we had brought our own stuff... Our kids were enchanted. We have been to several theme park sites and it was a pleasant "escape". As my parents have Disney vacation points, this would be high on the list for a return visit.

Room Tip: Garden view overlook the A1A, which is also good for sunsets, and not noisy at all. The ocean must b...

I just read the review of the disgruntled traveler and like the previous gentleman I thought I would take this opportunity to respond. We have been vacation club members for 14 years and disney vero beach has been a wonderful destination for our family.

Travel has been a very big part of our family ever since our kids have been babies. We travel to Europe as a family on multiple occasions and our biggest hobbies are planning our next trip ( as I write this while the family and I are skiing in Whistler).
With business and pleasure we enjoy staying in nice properties and I have had the good fortune in staying in some of the top properties in the world. We work hard and when we travel, it is special and we want an excellent experience.
disney's vero beach delivers this. The property is beautiful, the rooms well maintained and constantly updated, the location is excellent. The staff is wonderful. Many of the same staff have been working at the resort dating back to when we fist started visiting in 2000. They are like friends, we get Christmas cards from them and they know when we are coming and they know our names. It is real and genuine, not always what we experience at other properties (ie. we found Monte Carlo stuffy and somewhat pretentious at the fairmont..perhaps the previous traveler would find this a welcome environment).

As they say, there is NO accounting for taste, however I can recommend without hesitation Disney Vero beach. I will comment we have not always had a great meal on the property and I really can't think of one negative thing we have experienced in all our years. Perhaps if I bumped into the previous reviewer and rode the elevator with her that May have been a first.

I hope you enjoy Vero as much as our family has.

Stayed here for a night on the way to a cruise. We were pleasantly suprised by the resort. Such a pretty resort and exceptional staff. We ate breakfast at shutters which was delicious. We rented bikes which were reasonable, and enjoyed some time on the beach. Our room was spacious enough to invite another couple to hang out. We also enjoyed the lounge upstairs with great views of the ocean. We wish we would've stayed longer!
