“they STILL need to iron out the service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2012

first the good news. the setting is beautiful, especially, when on a warm evening without strong winds, you can dine outdoors and enjoy the ocean views. there were three of us. one ordered the snapper and the verdict was "ok". one ordered the flounder which was "good". i ordered the pork steak only to be informed minutes later that they were out. so i had the flounder too and it was not bad -- not over-cooked, always a challenge with flounder. the hostess and server were very pleasant and cheerful. it just took too long for food to come from the kitchen (the dining room only seemed to be about half full) and WAY too long a wait to see if we wanted coffee/dessert and WAY too long to get the bill. if cobalt could raise the quality of the kitchen a notch or two and train the service staff better, this place would be a knock-out.

“Savor the Locally Produced Specialities”

Cobalt is a place we get to at least one a month because the kitchen is very creative and uses a lot of local vegetables and seafood. The desserts are very creative and to die for. Enjoy.

“Great Waterview Setting; Excellent Lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2012

The four of us are often looking for a nice lunch place on the water and Cobalt more than fiilled the bill. The staff was very friendly , the location perfect, the menu interesting and the meal enjoyable. This is a classy place with a primo location and is more expensive than some of the other on-the-water restaurants but the extra value was worth the price.

“Share a lunch with a loved one and a view.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2012

The homemade flatbread here is wonderful. We shared an ahi tune flatbread as a n appectizer then shared a mahi sandwich. The waiter was attentive and very accomodating with our deside to split the dishes. Unlimited iced tea and a very pretty vie of the ocean mad a memorable lunch that didn't break the bank. This hotel looks like it is way above our price range but we didn't feel uncomfortable having lunch there. Highly recommend it!
