“Fancy looking food , but not very tasty”
Reviewed November 24, 2013 via mobile

We went to cassariano for dinner with my wife and another couple , the greeter was a little snooty when we asked for outdoor seating although every table was empty ,she said we had to be out in an 45 minutes , we decided to sit inside , i ordered the zuppa de pesce , a combo of sea food in a tomato sauce , the sauce was very thick and heavy , normally its in a light broth over pasta , my wife's salmon was very good , tasty and cooked to perfection. The couple with us enjoyed there meals , The prices we a little on the high side , but its snow bird season , we will go back when the season is over , hopefully the snooty greater will go up north for summer.

“One of our favorites”

We try to go to Cassariano whenever we're in the area - we always have wonderful food with fantastic service.

The Polenta appetizer is a melty-warm savory bit of fantastic.

After tasting the veal ravioli a few visits ago, my wife won't order anything else.

Their tiramisu is in keeping with everything else - just wonderful.

“Handled a large group excellent.”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

Finally had an opportunity to dine at the new enlarged location. Exactly what I expected, very attractive and happy they added a small bar.
We were shown into the back room, which can be very loud as there is nothing to absorb the noise. Beautifully appointed with mirrors but no windows other than two dormer type at far back.
All of us enjoyed our meals. Luca helped our server serve our entrees so they were all hot and fresh. A great experience and wonderful food.

“Still the best italian in Venice”
Reviewed November 8, 2013

The bride and I stopped into Cassariano to check out the new location. They have upped their capacity considerably and added a full bar. We wanted to see if all these changes had in any way affected the quality of the food. We are very happy to report that, if anything, it's now better. The servings are still generous and the service is great.

Love the changes, Luca!

We will be seeing a lot of this place.

“First time dining”
Reviewed November 3, 2013 via mobile

We have read numerous positive reviews on Trip Advisor. We were glad to find Cassariano open today after we visited the Venice Art Festival. I ordered the Rigatoni ai Quattro Formaggi (pasta with spinach in white sauce). It was absolutely delicious! So many times, you read a menu item and hope for one thing yet receive something totally different. Cassariano totally delivered on the entree listed on the menu. My husband ordered the Salmone ai Ferri (grilled salmon, spinach and lemon sauce). He ordered the salmon medium and it was cooked perfectly. Overall, we were extremely pleased with meal and experience. We will return again.
