The bride and I stopped into Cassariano to check out the new location. They have upped their capacity considerably and added a full bar. We wanted to see if all these changes had in any way affected the quality of the food. We are very happy to report that, if anything, it's now better. The servings are still generous and the service is great.

Love the changes, Luca!

We will be seeing a lot of this place.

We have read numerous positive reviews on Trip Advisor. We were glad to find Cassariano open today after we visited the Venice Art Festival. I ordered the Rigatoni ai Quattro Formaggi (pasta with spinach in white sauce). It was absolutely delicious! So many times, you read a menu item and hope for one thing yet receive something totally different. Cassariano totally delivered on the entree listed on the menu. My husband ordered the Salmone ai Ferri (grilled salmon, spinach and lemon sauce). He ordered the salmon medium and it was cooked perfectly. Overall, we were extremely pleased with meal and experience. We will return again.

Everything we ordered was outstanding. We visited Cassariano with another couple and shared 2 appetizers. We "took the risk" and ordered the Carpaccio di Pesce which is very thinly sliced raw swordfish. . . excellent. We also shared the Antipasto di Mare (seafood salad). The servings were quite generous and either one of them would be enough for lunch. You've seen the reviews raving about the Veal Tenderloin with Juniper Berries and Beluga Lentils. They were right on the mark. The Pan Seared Halibut with Sun Dried Tomato Crust was served over paper thin potato slices as was the Sea Bass Piccata. The presentation of each dish was just beautiful and more than worthy of a trip to the Top Chef kitchen.

OK, then why did I not give this place and Excellent rating? They have a full bar, but what they do not seem to have is a professional bartender. Two of my friends ordered specialty martinis. I ordered a vodka up. The glasses came to the table less than 3/4 full. My straight vodka had a peachy taste. Apparently the bartender had prepared the peach martini first and then shook up my vodka and ice in the same shaker. Neither of the specialty martinis tasted good. We ended up sending all 3 drinks back. At this point I'd like to mention our server, Armando. The service he provided was more than accommodating and extremely professional and excellent.

We were seated in the back room. Although it was much more quiet than the front, it was dark and uninviting.

Had dinner here for the first time and enjoyed an exquisite meal. Not only was the food fresh and appetizing but the presentation was very impressive. We started out with an appetizer of creamy burrata on a bed of paper thin prosciutto de parma drizzled with excellent olive oil and then on to salads. I had the pasta special...homemade silky ribbons in a light sauce with arugula, tomatoes and sweet sausage. My husband dined on veal tenderloin presented on a wooden plank with lentils, asparagus and juniper berries in a light sauce...you could cut it with a fork. One of our friends enjoyed the salmon stuffed cannelloni with a mild creamy pesto sauce and the other had the chicken scaloppini with smoked mozzarella and tomato that came stacked as a napolean. For dessert we shared a Tiramisu martini and crème brulees that were so light and custardy with a wonderful crunchy sugar crust. All in all a gastronomical delight.

Loved the old premises, cosy and intimate so wary of new premises as they were much larger. But have to say love the new premises for its light airy feel. Food as good as ever and it is simply excellent. Beautiful presentation and the quality of food matches its appearance. Service genuinely friendly and efficient.

Simply excellent in every way.
