“27 Beautiful Holes Of Golf”

Pelican Pointe Golf and Country Club
Attraction details
Reviewed September 4, 2013

This course has 27 holes of golf and they are all great. They play what is called a "crossover" so the course plays as three 18 hole courses. This means that tee times are limited to early morning and early afternoon but the systems works very well.

We love this course!

I've been to Pelican Pointe many times and find their food has been pretty consistently tasty. I've had events there and find Franklin Cox more than willing to help plan for everything. The kitchen also accommodated an overflow crowd that I had NOT expected. The coconut fried shrimp Caesar salad is fantastic!!!
Everyone says the fish is good too, but I'm not a fish eater, so no vote from me!
It's a good idea to call ahead for reservations.

We had the pleasure of hitting 9 holes @ Pelican Pointe Golf during our last visit to Venice.
The course was in great shape, and we were very lucky to get around without any waiting on any holes. It was just my husband and me, so they paired us up with a nice gentleman from England. We had a great morning, great conversation, and some pretty decent golf thankfully.....Hopefully next year we'll be able to do it all over again!

The course was in good conditions, but be prepared for a 10 minute wait at every tee box. This made for a very NOT fun game. We spent most of the 5 hours watching the three some in front of us, shank, pull and fish their balls out of ponds. Horrible that they don't have people out there pushing people to play faster.

On the up side, we saw lots of interesting birds including 2 baby Sandhill cranes.

We've played here several times over the last 3 years and have always enjoyed it. When you first arrive the number of cars in the parking lot may make you wonder how they can handle the large number of golfers. The answer is that they are friendly and efficient and know what they are doing. As soon as you arrive at the bag drop, they take your bags and tell you where a parking space is available. They have a good practice area included: driving range, chipping green, and putting green. There are 3 different 9 hole courses so you don't always see the same 18 holes.
