“Florida delight”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2014 via mobile

Very busy place. We went early so we didn't have to wait for a table. The location next to the water was lovely on a sunny day. The Bango Mango was a smooth drink and the grouper tasty. Usually I don't like these kinds of "tourist traps", but this was the best place I ate while in Florida.

“Great View, Mediocre Food, Staff not very accommodating”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2014

Looking forward to an evening with friends, we arrived at the restaurant which was bout at all bust due to cooler weather. We were a group of 10 and it took much pleading to have them put two tables together. The mood was set from there. The food was ok, great setting. Would not rush back.

“What happened ???”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2014

We were eagerly anticipating visiting the new and improved Sharky's… Hmmmm went for lunch to check out the new addition. Well, getting into the restaurant is a maze with the new construction.. no signs, no directions.. hostess was not at her post out front. We have always loved Sharkys and have watched the new construction with interest. However, the new construction is not a new Sharky's we find out. It's Finns and although it is finished it is not open for lunch. Opens at 4… Website did not say this..
Seeing the new restaurant area, Sharky's now looks rather worn and sad…. truly needs a facelift. The food is always good and the service solid and friendly…

“Ok food but a great view”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2014

I can't rave about the food the blackened grouper sandwich was good and fries ok, the coleslaw mediocre we also had fish tacos which had no flavor. It was very busy when we were there, service was ok. It's right next to the pier and beach so if you go to see that it's ok, but not a great food destination.

“Perfect sunset, poor food...”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014 via mobile

As a newcomer to the area and being from New England, I am leary of seafood restaurants doing New England fare in FLORIDA. First please do not go in between shifts, you will not get the best service and will delay the arrival of your entrees for 50 min. The chowder was okay, the wings were good although not much of a bite, the grilled shrimp tasted as though it was frozen compared to the look of the peel and eat shrimp at the next table. The blackened grouper sadly was dry, and seemed to have spent time in the freezer just like my fish and chips, cole slaw was cafeteria/ grocery style, sangria was weak. Sad...was really looking forward to repeated visits.

I was so very disappointed since I was expecting an amazing dining experience and ended up with a so so meal at a decent price, and slow (did they forget we were here???) service at a tourist trap.

I would only come back with out of town guests for a cocktail on the deck at sunset and stay for the band, but dinner elsewhere. The view is amazing and the pier is a nice stroll for star gazing.
