Fun venue in a lovely facility. It has two theaters; one fancy & one versatile. Our show was in the versatile one, & was wonderful. BTB, if you need handicap seating, do let the ticket office know, & they will be very helpful. They even had a few seats available even though we didn't notify them.
You will be made to feel as if you are a part of the establishment as you enter the front doors. The volunteers are friendly & obviously sold on making your experience at the Venice Theatre a pleasant one. Do agree to the invitation.

Venice is community theater as its best. The scenery was very professionally done - not like "church basement" community theater. We saw Boeing Boeing. There was color-blind actor selection, which one doesn't often see in local theaters. The actors worked very hard in this fast pace show. For $25/ticket this was a good buy and an enjoyable evening.

Lovely small theatre. Good view from every seat in the house. No obstructions. Valet and free self parking close to the theatre.

We have attended several events over the years. This theater is a small venue and honestly I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. The seating graduation between the rows is better than some of the much more expensive venues in the surrounding Sarasota County area. There is even seating in a forward stage facing balcony that provides great viewing as well. Recently attended a Red Skelton review and the entertainer was terrific. If you didn't know any better, you would have thought he was Red Skelton himself and the skits were just as I remembered them as a kid. You won't be disappointed.

This is a very nice venue for theatre. Unfortunately, my first experience here was not so enjoyable. I've seen a lot of community theatre productions that were of higher quality than "Boeing, Boeing". Now I recognize that these are not professional actors, but they really did not suit their parts. Almost all the actors seemed to be mis-cast for their roles, and I suppose this is the director's fault. Terrible delivery, forgotten lines, and just pretty boring. I feel that $25 was too much to pay for this production. I will definitely give it another chance, because I know they can put on an excellent show here, but I was terribly disappointed in this one.
