“Beautiful Sunset”
Reviewed September 19, 2013 via mobile

This is a great spot whether you want to fish early morning or watch the sunset. Also, a great place to watch fireworks on the 4th of July. There is a little bait shop located right on the pier which is very convenient.

I go out there early mornings to watch for dolphins and manatees and always see them!

“Fishing Pier”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

Did not go out on the Pier because there were "NO DOGS ALLOWED", EVERYWHERE we went. We have two old dogs, terrier and Maltese. None of the beaches (each beach had a long list of NO NO's) no dogs at top of the list. Not friendly. We are from Tampa and our beaches are accessible and pet and people friendly. Our fishing piers have better access and parking. Well, we went to vacation and explore. We did, won't be going back. Oscar Scherer State park allowed dogs and was beautiful. Motel 6 allowed dogs. The food at Little Italy was fantastic as was the service and prices so reasonable.

“4th of july”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

From the pier you could see the fireworks of Sarasota, Nokomis, and Venice. Right at the end of Sharky's on the Pier so there was plenty to drink, eat, and live music.

“Sharks, Manatee, Turtles: Oh MY!!”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

My son found a lemon shark tooth right at the side of the pier in the first twenty minutes we were at this great beach. Then we saw a manatee and her pup swim by in the water.
THEN when we were walking out on the pier (very busy with fisher folk pulling mackerel out of the water) we saw a tremendous, mature hawksbill turtle swimming around the pilings. Yes, that was a great day at the beach!
