“Sharks, Manatee, Turtles: Oh MY!!”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

My son found a lemon shark tooth right at the side of the pier in the first twenty minutes we were at this great beach. Then we saw a manatee and her pup swim by in the water.
THEN when we were walking out on the pier (very busy with fisher folk pulling mackerel out of the water) we saw a tremendous, mature hawksbill turtle swimming around the pilings. Yes, that was a great day at the beach!

Easy access, Papa's bait shop is right on the pier - very nice lady running the shop. Sharky's is also right on the pier waiting to serve you a cold one! Family friendly...lots of fish!

It's a great place for not only fishing, but to take in sunsets. The Jetty is stunning! I love the huge rocks.

“Great day fishing on the pier”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

Awesome pier. We walked it at night watching the sunset with the kids. Its well kept. Has a cool bait shop. Lots to see. We saw people fishing for shark, we saw dolphins swimming, and watched a beautiful sunset. Today we took our kids fishing all day on the pier. We brought our own poles and tackle box but you can rent all that at the bait shop. The boys caught at least 4 fish each. This was their favorite part of the trip!
