We, two adults and child of 9 years old, found this cafe by Tripadvisor. After we went to Casperson Beach for shark teeth hunting, we tried to stop by there for lunch. We knew this cafe was located by an airport in Venice, but we had hard time to find this place. So here is easy direction;

(From Sarasota or Venice)
1) Go South on S. Tamiami Trail (41)
2) Turn Right onto Ave Del Circo
3) Turn Right onto Airport Ave E.

We had good service and food with nice view. We ordered Cheeseburger, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Cuban Sandwich, Conch Soup, and beverages. Conch Soup was a little too salty and Grilled Chicken Sandwich was OK. Cuban Sandwich was very interesting. We paid $63 including tips and had good time.

We will be back there when we are in Venice.

I'll cut to the chase: prior to ordering hash, ask waitress if it's homemade. she says yes, so I order it. pasty, greasy canned stuff arrives with gooey pink meat and tiny little cubes of potato. Waitress insists it's fresh, "I saw the corned beef in the back". owner says nothing when i relay waitress's comments, and only when I ask directly: is hash made in house do i learn it is, yes, the canned stuff. issue isn't just canned vs. fresh, but honesty with customers is important. And an apology wouldn't have hurt.

A wonderful place to eat any meal of the day. Great food and the best Cuban sandwich this side of Cuba. Tony DuBoulay is a personable owner, and man can he cook. Service is always friendly and prompt.

Tucked away out at the Venice Regional Airport, is the Suncoast Cafe.ranked #1 in Venice by Trip Adviser restaurant reviewers. Stopped in for breakfast and was able to snag the only table left in the place. Ambiance is really great, lots of aircraft memorabilia and photos of the old WW II Army Air Corps training base abound. Wait staff is friendly and efficient. Our meals were excellent, my wife had a delicious cheese omlet and I had Texas French Toast with a side of tropical fruits, It was so nice at this place that we spent an hour dining and watching the aircraft land & take off. Owned by Tony DeBoulay, a native of St. Lucia, the place is spotless and bright. Tony also doubles as the chef as well. A short ride from downtown Venice, you must try this great little spot.

We enjoyed blueberry pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes and french toast. Delicious, with fresh fruit and maple syrup to top it off. Very clean with friendly service.
