We have been to the soda fountain many times and it has always been a pretty good place. Yesterday we went for lunch and we were even more pleasantly surprised. The menu for lunch was great! We had their sausage-lentil soup and their tuna stuffed tomato with fruit. The soup was awesome!!!! The tuna and tomato were great and plentiful, the only thing that would have made it a little better was sliced melon or strawberries for the fruit instead of grapes. And if they have to be grapes, keep them on the stem, not loose on the plate, it would be more appealing that way.
Will definitely go back!!

Fun old fashioned ice cream a soda fountain. We ate here after a long day of shark tooth hunting. Had an old fashioned cherry coke, way better than the cherry coke you get in a can at the gas station. A must go to if you are ever in Venice Beach.

We stopped here after dinner for some ice cream and floats. The choices of different combinations of old fashioned soda flavors from a traditional soda jerk were fabulous. I had a cherry, chocolate coke, another in our group had a cherry sarsaparilla, all made with flavoring and seltzer. My wife had a turtle sundae with lots of caramel and chocolate syrup. A great place to satisfy your sweet tooth and try an unusual combination of handmade soda flavors. They have floats, milkshakes, malted milkshakes, and egg creams. They also have pizza Vinnie’s Pizza, with a special of a bucket of beer (5) and a large pie for $20.

Hungry for a pizza, check this place out. Set up like an old '50s/60s Soda Fountain, the interior was clean and neat, even though it was obvious there had been no recent upgrades or improvements to the facility. We almost ordered Root Beer Floats but knew we wouldn't be able to eat much more if we did, so we opted for the White Pizza, just to see what their take on this version of one of our favorite was, we were not disappointed. The Large Pie is a good value and enough for four (as a nice size appetizer) or if you're not really super hungry. Again, we wanted it simple, so we just ordered Mushrooms, they were fresh, maybe jarred?? (not canned) and there was lots and lots of Ricotta Cheese, could have used more herbs and spices, but nonetheless yummy. The crust was nicely baked (one in our party said it could have been a bit darker on the bottom), but overall we were all satisfied with it's texture, chewiness and flavor. This is definitely a pizza joint I would recommend, next time we're going to try some of the meat toppings. Thumb's UP!!

Finally stopped in for lunch. Old-fashioned charm. Has the feel of a vintage malt shop. You can dine inside or outside on the sidewalk. My wife had soup and tuna sandwich.. the lentil soup w/sausage got a big thumbs up. I had one of their salads with fried chicken... also thumbs up. Big portion and service with a smile.

Someone told me they have very good hot dogs, so we'll have to go back and give them a try. Note that their ice cream is not home made (so I could not give them five a five-circle rating)... recommend going down the street to Bresler's (now called Venice Creamery) for home made ice cream.

We'll go back and try their pizza.. they have the world's smallest pizza place next door (Vinnie's).
