Do you like shelling? Because forget about shark's teeth. Everyone says this is the place, LOL, lifeguards said that finding a tooth on the beach is as often as being hit by lightning.

Apparently, the only way to actually get shark's teeth is to use one of those basket's on the pole, go out waist deep between the sand bar and the shore and dig deep. A few locals also confirmed this was the only way to find teeth. We did find teeth, just not here. Surf was too high from the storms at sea, be slammed against the rocks if you tried it.

This was our family’s second visit to the Venice Beach area. We returned having fond memories of sifting for shark’s teeth. Also known as Shark Key, Casperson Beach has a generous size parking area; portable potties, and nice paths leading to the beach area. The shark’s teeth all but jump in your lap; I spent about ½ an hour sifting and found 10. The beach area is nice for sunning and fun too.
