My wife and I visited this secluded stretch of beach and had a wonderful time playing in the water, collecting shells and shark teeth. While we were there a small pod of Dolphins played in the water in front of us for the longest time. The area is a bit rocky so watch the little ones playing in the surf. Warning they are no bathroom facilities in the area.

Visitors flock here not only for the shells and beautiful crystal blue water, but for the abundance of prehistoric shark teeth found right off the shore of the Gulf Coast. Here you’ll see people both onshore and in waist-deep water crouched down sifting through the sand and shells in hopes to come across these prehistoric treasures! My husband didn’t have any luck along the shore, so he decided to take a dip in the ocean to sift through the wet sand churned by the constant crashing of ocean waves along the shore. Within a minute of being in the water he found his first shark tooth! Here’s a silly tip for you: Bring a spaghetti strainer! Serious shark tooth explorers knew to bring this important accessory to aid in their treasure hunt!

Whenever I have family visit, I take them to Caspersen's because of the amount of Sharks Teeth you can find. I have also found really pretty shells, especially after a nice rain storm! The beach is pretty and seems to be well kept. There are benches along the walkways which are nice to sit at and watch the sunset. There are also some covered picnic tables and handicap access and parking. The restrooms were cleaner than expected which is a big deal for bathrooms at the beach,

I haven't been here since they redid the area, so I will have to stop by and check it out, and maybe change my rating to a 5. Last time I went, the parking was insane. So many cars parked in no parking zones which made it difficult to get around.

Get there as early as possible, ESPECIALLY IN SEASON.

We spent a few hours here on a Thursday morning and early afternoon and had a great time swimming and looking for shells and sharks teeth. What a beautiful area, the facilities are top notch and very clean, the beach area is great with walkways built to see the north end of the park and open beach to the south. Finding shells and sharks teeth was our main reason for the visit, the shells are everywhere but most are on the smaller side, the sharks teeth were fairly easy to find if you got in the water about knee deep and scooped up a handful from the bottom, some handfuls had none, others would have two or three, some small, some larger. Overall great place, great day!!!!
