We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. This is definitely the best for the price range in the area.
We arrived in Tampa at 10am and I called the manager to see if we could check in early, she said "Of course, come on down." Our check in took a matter of 5 minutes, we had our choice of which floor and which view we wanted. We were in our room unpacking right away. The room was updated with nice bedding, dark wood cabinetry and a small kitchenette. There was plenty of room for storing food/drinks, etc. a small refrigerator and a microwave. There is a Publix a couple of blocks away, so we were able to buy lunches for our entire stay.
Most importantly, the room was extremely clean, housekeeping was always in our room cleaning almost immediately after we left for the day (I had to run back upstairs to get something and the room was already being cleaned!). Every time I walked through the lobby, there was someone washing windows, wiping down walls, or sweeping/washing the floors.
While this is not on the beach, it is directly opposite a public beach access, so there is an unobstructed view of the beach. However, it is one of the widest sections of the beach, so you certainly don't hear the waves from your balcony. The marina side is very quiet and beautiful, so next time I think I would chose that side since there is a good beach view from the rooftop patio/breakfast room.
The pool is on the small side, but since the hotel was not too full, there was never more than a few other people there. It may be more crowded during busy season.
I've seen some complaints about the "continental breakfast" in reviews, but I didn't see anything about breakfast in any of the reservation pages, or hotel info, so the fact that we got pastries and breakfast bars each morning was actually a bonus. Also, there is 24 hr hot tea and coffee....none of which I knew about before booking this hotel.
When my husband had a question about local boat rental and parasailing, the manager (I believe Phyllis) made a phone call, got us the info we needed AND a discount!
I really don't have a bad word to say about this place. From the friendly, helpful front desk staff, to the cleanliness, to the location, everything was great!

Room Tip: If you don't absolutely have to have an ocean view, I'd request marina view so you don't...

Treasure Bay had everything (free parking, internet, fridge & microwave) which is always a plus when travelling. Also the balcony facing the marina was beautiful. The staff was so kind in the check in and check out process. The location is perfect (right across from the beach) and the rooms were clean and nicely decorated. I was happy with this choice and hope to be back soon!

When you want to go for a getaway weekend with your husband/spouse or significant other or go for a week with the family, I recommend the Treasure Bay Hotel and Marina on Treasure Island, FL.You will get value for your money. Rooms are updated with comfy beds. Most rooms have a "kitchenette" although I would say that is not quite the case, as it is a very small refrigerator, sink and microwave, and even though you have shelves and drawers, there are NO plates, or silverware and no glass cups. Just a couple of plastic cups. We asked the front desk and he was able to give us a knife to use for making sandwiches. They also include a "breakfast" which is wrapped muffins, pastry and granola bars and coffee/tea/hot cocoa. So if you want a hot breakfast or cereal or even juice, then this is not it.
The best part of this hotel is that is is right across the street from the St.Pete public beach of Treasure Island, good location to find local restaurants, the marina ( Freedom Boat Club is located here) and nightlife .The front desk customer service was very good. Ask for Patrick, He was very helpful in showing us where to go on a map, giving suggestions for dinner and some discount coupons for a local restaurant. For the price I would say this is a good value- the rooms are updated, but more care needs to be taken on the carpets, elevator cleanliness and the air conditioning- which was either on or off and it was one of the hottest weekends of the summer.

Room Tip: I prefer the Marina side of the hotel. Less traffic noise and commotion.

We just got home from staying there, and I couldn't have made a better choice! The hotel was in a perfect location, public access to the beach is literally across the street, the rooms were clean, large, the balcony was fantastic! Excellent value for the rate we paid. Housekeeping did a fantasic job cleaning our room every day. Lights, TV, microwave, refrigerator, everything worked in the room! (that's a nice change from previous hotels!) Nice pool, nice patio for breakfast and drinks. The staff was so friendly and helpful, I actually felt like they wanted us there. I looked at hundreds of hotels before booking here, and this was a great decision. We will definitely be back to visit Treasure Island, and I won't stay anywhere but here!

Room Tip: bay side rooms are beautiful views

Nice rooms when it comes to appearance decor, furniture, and amenities. We stayed on the 3rd floor in a king room with a "kitchenette."

First, the GOOD:

First impression is that the room is very nicely decorated and on par with what you would expect in a much more expensive hotel. The furniture appeared new as did the paint and appliances. The "kitchenette" was a small refrigerator and a microwave. The bed was very comfortable. Large flat screen TV mounted on the wall. Another review here listed the landscaping was in a sad state. Upon our arrival 8/5 there was a crew on sight and they had just finished a huge tree trimming job and the landscaping was well manicured. Either management just decided to have this done pretty soon after that review by coincidence or they are receptive to the comments left here about their property.

The BAD:
Toilet would not flush and ran constantly. Upon investigation, the plumbing fixture inside the tank was rigged up with a piece of plastic shopping bag by either another guest trying to fix the problem or a very lazy maintenance person. The phone in the room did not work (no dial-tone) Room cleanliness left quite a bit to be desired. Fingerprints all over the front of the furniture which were very obvious and detracted from the tasteful decor. The headboard had an obvious build-up of "funk" which you couldn't miss. Most alarming was what we also saw on the headboard and I will not attempt to determine exactly what that may be, we of course assumed the worst. The continental breakfast was a joke. A plate of packaged muffins and the weakest coffee we had ever had. We actually drove about 2 miles up the road for a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee.

Overall, I would say nice try but the cleanliness of this room left a lot to be desired and we will not be returning. We did not bother to bring the problems to the attention of staff because we're not whiners, we had better things to do, and see above...the phone didn't work . This hotel could really be up there when it comes to location and room decor but the lack of attention to detail by the cleaning/maintenance staff drops this place down to an utter disappointment. We definitely won't be back.

With a third floor room we had a really super view over the pool and hot tub and across to the sea and sands. Pelicans and Parrots flying overhead, glorious sunshine - what more would we want? Then we carried breakfast across the road to the beach and saw dolphins jumping! This hotel is so close to many amenities and some really great restaurants. (Try Britts Coal Fired Pizza for a really tasty treat ). helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere, internet connection, lift, ice machine, washing machines, gymn, boat dock and plenty of places to sit and relax. The clue is in the title here ' Treasure'. Enjoy.

Me and my partner went to treasure island for the weekend and I found a great rate online and they honored that price. Hiedi and the staff were awsome. We will be back.
