I just returned from a week there.Loved the place although I did have to sweep the floor when I arrived. There were plenty of towels and washcloth's,and everything you would expect at a regular hotel. The maid service is weekly so if you dont want to pick up after yourself, look elsewhere.
I had rented a Gulf Front room with two bedrooms, overlooking the Gulf and the pool.Great view and sunsets.I cant speak for the review thaty said the front desk personel was unfriendly,I found them to be very helpful at all times, and answered any questions or requests cheerfully and promptly.Thier recommmendations for places to eat or directions were right on the money.
This is one of the best places I have stayed in this area and will return.

Just returned from a week long stay 8/3-8/10at the Sunset Vistas, on Treasure Island... The beach is beautiful, the pool and beach bar area very nice. Our room was very comfortable, everything was in working order.
The kitchen wasn't stocked with enough dishes or silverwear for the # of persons the cond housed.... We had to ask for our towels to be removed and new ones be given to us. Had to wash our own towels half of the week. Housekeeping was asked after 5 days if they could vaccum room, I was told they didn't clean anything until we checked out...Very RUDE...Our room card failed to work atleast twice daily sending us to the lobby for new ones. The Lobby staff was rude and unhelpful. Upon our check-in, we were told our room wasn't ready...Check -in is at 4PM as this was the time we arrived after 9 hrs of driving, didn't get to check in until later that evening, staff didn't seem at all concerned with our needs to get in our rented room...
WOULD NOT STAY THERE AGAIN...

We stayed twice during our vacation. The first visit was for one night and was great. We were on the 5th floor overlooking the water, had everything we needed, place was clean. We returned for the last two nights and were on the fourth floor, overlooking the water. There were dishes still in the dishwasher, dirt under the couch and in the laundry closet. no linens for the couch and not enough washcloths. There were no working lightbulbs in the first bedroom, kitchen sink area and dining area. The blinds by the front door were broken. The kitchen sink cabinet doors were falling off, as was the furnace room door. The main bedroom bedskirt was torn and had been "tucked in" to make it look like it was in good condition. The bed linens were thin and the bedspreads were faded. The front door and window had not been cleaned in a long time. (They were all that way). I called and complained and then had to wait 1 1/2 hours for someone to finally come and take care of the cabinet doors and lightbulbs. The hotel needs a good cleaning and maintenance needs to step it up a knotch. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The beach is great as is the pool. Beds were somewhat comfortable, but the front bedroom by hallway needs to have room darkening shades put on them. It looked like daytime at night. Okay place to stay overall, but could be better with more attention to detail.

positives- all rooms have great view, pool is very big plenty of room.

negatives- front desk staff is very rude and not very interested in helping guests with issues. not enough dishes, dont bother asking for more they wont give you any

we checked in on friday and were told we would have to switch rooms on sat. our room wasn`t ready till 4 pm, was told it would be ready noon then it was 1, then 2, finally at 4 we finally were able to move was never given a reason or an apology, room keys never worked 10 different stories why. was told our room would be cleaned every 4th day, stayed 8 days room was never cleaned. worst thing that happened was when we checked in my wife noticed a little sign that stated our debit card would be charged 50 dollars every day we were there, questioned young girl working the desk ( very rude) she assured me they dont actually take the money, WRONG!! $400 was taken from my checking acct. the bald guy at the desk when i questioned him didn`t even care, there was a girl at front desk named ashley who was the only one to apologize, the rest were useless!!! the sad thing is the hotel is really nice, just poorly managed

Weekend on the Gulf coast following on a week at WDW. Excellent beachfront and condo unit. Lots of families ... pool was a bit crowded. Not really in walking distance from anything except the beach and the circle K, but if beach is what you want, this location is great. Although we didn't partake, the bar on the main floor seemed to be a popular place in the evenings for a party crowd. But the noisiness was over before 11, even on Saturday.
