Not the best week- not too awful, but just not the best. It is a condo type hotel- that being said it had some nice amenities- washer/dryer, full kitchen, nice pool, tiki bar and cafe. However, bcz it was 'condo style' - we only received new towels upon request- no daily cleaning-at all. No bathroom/toilet/shower time, no vacuuming of sand, changing of sheets. That was kind of hard to get used to. Each room did have a view of the Gulf- but many are parking lot/ocean view- and kind of loud with garbage trucks, etc daily. But, hey, it was better than Michigan this time of year!

Room Tip: Ask for WEST- that will give you a front and center view of the ocean and pools!

We are pleased to hear our amenities to be comfortable and generally welcoming. We do normally provide a trash and towel service every other day automatically to our suites – if for some reason a guest has not received it please contact us directly so we can examine why we did not provide this service. Additionally, we are always happy to provide additional towels and amenities upon request – just give a call to our 24-hour Front Desk! Please also know that, while we normally provide a full cleaning of the suite on a weekly basis our housekeeping staff can arrange an additional cleaning of the suite; please contact our Front Desk staff to discuss this option further. We hope to see you once again next time you return to Treasure Island!

The resort is very nicely located with easy access to the beach. The room was very spacious. The room was very dirty however, there was food crumbs in all the kitchen cabinets and drawers. We washed every dish, glass or utensil before using because they had residue on them. The dresser drawers in the bedrooms had crumbs of some sort as well. There was splattered substance on closet doors and walls. We had to call front desk for a smoke detector that was beeping as soon as we walked in. Lights were blown in several areas, but we did not call to have replaced because we didn't want to be bothered again. The dishwasher's locking mechanism was broken making it difficult to use. We went to the cafe/store and weren't impressed by the lack of customer service and availability of items. The store was pathetic baskets of a few things and of course no toothbrush. We had lunch once at the cafe and again not impressed. The lady was not friendly, my salad lacked ingredients because they were "all out", which seemed to be the case for many items. After paying for our food I had asked for a receipt and got a bit of attitude for it. I read over the receipt and noticed I was charged for 2 bags of chips that I didn't not actually purchase. I asked about it and again was given an attitude, no apology and a refund. For the price I expect a next to spotless room in excellent working order and very friendly staff.

We appreciate hearing these thoughts on our property and send our thanks for sending them. It is gratifying to hear access to the beach was enjoyed and the suite was spacious. However, it greatly concerns us to hear an unsatisfactory experience in terms of cleanliness and service; that is definitely not our normal standard. We are currently stepping up our inspection procedures to understand how we can improve to make sure we have clean, maintained and comfortable suites up to the standards our guests expect. We welcome guests to contact us directly and discuss how we might have another chance to make for a more comfortable and pleasant stay.

Comfy bed. dirty bathroom, Great beach, pool was crowed with kids The rooms are dusty & dirty. The 2nd bedroom had someone else's junk under the bed & behind the night stand. The black marks on the refrigerator & doors from dirty hands was a sign of quick rental turn around and poor housekeeping. Take your own sanitizer. The cafe on premise was convenient & the ladies working there were very nice. If it was cleaner I'd go back because loved the location being close to Johns Pass & one mile from Publix.

We always appreciate hearing our guests candid thoughts. We apologize for not preparing a suite to the standards not only set for us, but we set for ourselves. We clearly missed the mark in the case of this suite and are currently stepping up our inspection procedures to ensure our rooms are being cleaned carefully. We hope to see this guest again and have the next stay be not only comfortable but cleaned to the highest expectations. Have a great day and thank you for choosing Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites.

I had stayed at Sunset Vistas on a prior vacation. So when I read the description of the condo I could book through Itrip, I was excited to stay there again. The description of 202s is deceiving it states that you will have a peaceful view of the gulf. That is a false statement. You have a great view of the parking lot and kiddie pool off in the distance. Also while in this condo, there was a big black palmetto bug sharing our bathroom with us. I must say that Itrip was quick to send the exterminator ( because it had been awhile since they had been there).
The beach that is past the property is absolutely gorgeous. You just can't enjoy it from your balcony.

We thank and appreciate everyone for choosing Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites and hope for many repeat visits! This guest stayed in a suite not part of the on-site rental program and was through another source. We encourage booking directly with the hotel or on the Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites website where guests enjoy: a good description of your suite, ability to select from all three of our view types, and on-site staff to care for your suite. That said, we will work to convey thoughts to appropriate staff and strive for the best experience possible no matter which suite you stay in the future. Thank you again for staying with us!

We recently spent three nights in one of the suites in this hotel. The actual suite was beautiful, unfortunately the bathrooms were disgusting. When we arrived we had to request that the shower curtain be changed it was terribly stained. There was dirt on the floor and hair around the tub. It was very unpleasant. For the price we were paying we were very disappointed with this aspect. When we arrive the hot tub looked like it had brown water in it. They chlorinated it and on the next day it looked the same. We passed on the hot tub. This was a disappointment also, since it was cold while we were there and the pool was not appealing.

Room Tip: We chose to have ocean front, but ocean view rooms are the exact same and still have a beautiful vie...

Our thanks for the thoughts and comments on the recent stay with us! While we are pleased the suite was found generally beautiful, we clearly missed the mark in regard to our normal housekeeping standards. We apologize for the error on our part and will use the comments to re-examine our housekeeping inspection standards. We welcome talking further with any guest regarding their stay and hope to welcome everyone back under great conditions. Thank you again for staying with us!

We had a very nice 2 bedroom condo with a great view. This hotel is right on the beach! We had two daughters sleeping on a pull out bed, and our parents in one bedroom, and my wife and I in another bedroom. We had a full kitchen. The room was clean and spacious, and there was a nice balcony. I was very happy with the hotel restaurant which had good food at a fair price for a hotel. They have a small pool but the beach is the attraction. Would very much recommend this hotel for families!

If you're looking for a family friendly condo building, this is it. (If you're looking for a quiet couples getaway this is probably NOT the place.) The room had all the beach supplies we needed including chairs and towels and there is even a courtesy box to take what beach toys you need and leave what you don't. There is no competition for toys which is impressive considering the many, many children staying here and using the pool and beach. The building itself is unique in its design. The way it's laid out gives maximum ocean views to those on the west side of the building while maintaining some privacy between units. There is a small tiki bar on the property that's open during the day and cocktails are allowed on the beach, just no glass. The interior of the unit was more spacious than I had expected. It was also very clean and up to date. No worn out sofas or 80s Florida theme here.If you're curious about the other guests, they are mostly middle class to maybe a few upper middle class. There are some Europeans as well. It's not the Waldorf crowd but rest easy it's not the Wal-Mart crowd either. I would gladly stay here again and most likely will. It's a good solid family vacation. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the list of chores we had to perform or be charged $50 for each one not completed. I understand that it probably cuts down on cost and logistics to have the beach towels washed, dishes cleaned and trash taken out but when trying to pack a whole family up at the end of a vacation and be out of the room by 9 AM that's a little difficult. I would suggest the rental company either charge $10 more per unit to have someone come in to do those things OR make checkout 11 am so people don't feel stressed trying to get it all done by 9. That still leaves 5 hours for the rooms to be cleaned before the next guest checks in.

We are pleased to hear you had a wonderful stay with us and found your suite to be spacious and comfortable with great views of the Gulf! Our property is definitely family-oriented with visitors from all around the world. We also are pleased to offer items such as the community bin with toys and beach gear to help make great family stays. Regarding your housekeeping concerns: from your comment it appears the unit you rented is not part of the on-site rental program with Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites and is rented through another source. We encourage booking directly with the hotel or on the Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites website. In this way, you receive onsite housekeeping service and does not ask you to clean your suite prior to departure. Additionally, you also enjoy a later 11AM checkout time. Please come visit Treasure Island again soon!
