“Sun, Sand and Fun”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

Caddy's can be many different things to different people. It is a great place for the bikini and surfing shorts-clad young to go and meet and enjoy the beach. It is a a perfect dinner/beach bar to watch the sunset and dance to some lively music. It is one of the best places to have breakfast on a picnic table with your feet in the sand and one hand around a hot cup of coffee and the other around a giant breakfast burrito. Young and old have a place to mingle and enjoy what we all came to Florida to do - enjoy the beach life, if only for an hour or 2.

“On the Beach”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

We ate here at the recommendation of the hotel we were staying at. It was OK. They were out of ribs. The service was so-so, our waitress only checked on us once. The grouper was delicious, but I am not sure it was enough to warrant returning. Definitely where the locals go.

“Great Beach side Atmosphere”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

There has been a bar/restaurant on this site since the 1940's or 50's. It opens directly on Sunset beach and they have lounge chairs available to customers for free (gratuity expected). You can actually sit and eat at picnic tables on the beach with your feet in the sand.

The building has that "beach house" feeling to it and the food was great. Had the homemade corned beef hash and mimosa's for breakfast. We weren't there for the afternoon crowd but this must be a great place to party and chill on the beach.

“Avoid breakfast here”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

Does it really take 35 minutes to cook eggs? The service was atrocious. When the food finally came it was still warm or we would have walked out.
We ate there the night before ,and even though it was busy with many Gasparilla pirates the service was reasonable if not prompt. Portions at Caddy's are very good.

“OK for the Beach -- that's all”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

We tried to go to lunch during our week long stay and the parking lot was full. We were told to use valet parking at $5 a pop -- no thanks! An alternate parking lot was a couple of blocks away but with a sore foot that wasn't an option. We decided to drop in for breakfast one morning. Arrived at 7:50 AM -- they don't open until 8:00 AM. Waitress was nice enough and took our drink order. Food was OK. My husband's came with mushrooms which he'd said he didn't want. Didn't want to create a fuss so he kept it. If you don't mind drinking from styrofoam cups and eating from paper plates it is an OK place.
