Three of us went as a test run after reading the great reviews. The liver was inedibly chewy, the beef tasted like it had been prepped ahead of time and reheated in a microwave, and the salmon was acceptable. Atmosphere was strip center chic and service was brusque. Perhaps patrons who come for the (very much) higher priced meals are treated better, but I'll never know

We discovered the Pearl via Tripadvisor recommendations. It was just three blocks from our resort, the Bilmar. We noted that they had an "early bird" special for $10, an amazing deal if the food was at all edible. We ended up going there three times in the ten days we were at the resort, and the food was fantastic--stuffed peppers, baby back-ribs, petite tenderloin, and chicken Cacciatore, all sublime. The early bird special included a soup, and the two we tried were delicious: Potato Leek and tomato bisque. Though this was the "cheap meal," everything was high gourmet level, well-prepared, flavorful, carefully presented. The wine list was short, but well selected, and the pour was substantial. We tried two desserts, and they were sinful, but spectacular--in particular, the brownies with ice cream. We've dined all over the world, and this was one of the best bargains we've ever run across. The Moroccan chef specializes in tagines, and we were sorry we didn't have a chance to taste one of these creations. The service was special, the environment pleasing. It was worth eating a little early to have such a fine dining experience.

Very good dinner tonight at the Pearl Restaurant close to Treasure Island Florida. We started with cocktails at the bar and then moved to a table for two. My wife ordered the Lobster Bisque and I ordered the duck pate. The Lobster Bisque was over salted, so she sent it back. My pate was very good. Rich flavor and served with toasted bread and an assortment of relishes. Quite unusual and worth another try. For dinners my wife had the Seafood Crepe that was full of fish, scallops and shrimp. She loved it. I had the braised short ribs and they were excellent. Perfectly prepared and topped with a special sauce. This dish was accompanied with a layered scallop type potato and white asparagus. This dish alone was worth the visit.

The pearl has live music in the bar area and it is really a warm, friendly atmosphere.

At the pearl atmosphere is wonderful . Dimmed lighting and wonderful music playing in the air . the smells of foods walking right past you . then to be greeted with a happy face each time is what even makes it better . The food is the best thing that i have on the beach . there are many choices of wine there , just for taste of perfection ... i will say this is a restaurant that i will send people , with family, friends, or even by yourself with tapas menu . Everything is up to standards for me .
