We stayed here 2 years ago and returned. The staff is friendly, housekeeping is great, the pool is always clean, and it’s a short walk to the beach. When we arrived, we were informed that our room was under repair, the staff apologized for the inconvenience and we were upgraded to a room with a kitchen. When we left, I gave them a TripAdvisor sticker for their window, so look for it when you go. If you aren't opposed to walking, the property is close to almost everything. We can recommend Sloppy Joe's at the Bilmare hotel, which is on the beach, Ricky T's Bar & Grille that is a little further down the street, but be advised that breakfast stops at 11:30AM.

I wanted to comment on how pleasant it was to stay here. The room was wonderful and the service was perfect. Dawn and Missy were both helpful and so knowledgeable about the area. I want to thank you for a great weekend.

My Husband and I did a baseball trip in Florida. We flew into Ft. Lauderdale, drove to Miami and stayed the night and then went to a Marlin's game. We then left and drove to Treasure Island and stayed at Tahitian so we can go to the Rays game the next day. I was excited because we have never been on this side of Florida. We got a great deal online through the hotel's website for 2 nights. The hotel was older (older type tv, wall AC, etc.). However, it was VERY CLEAN! It is a great place if you want to be on the beach. The walk is a little farther than some of the other hotels to the beach but not bad. The pool is also nice. The only down side is the office is only open from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. but you can go down to the other hotel they own, The Thunderbird. We had to do that the morning after we arrived to print off our boarding passes before 8 a.m. I recommend this place if you want a nice, clean and inexpensive place to stay!

Room Tip: We had a poolside room which was fine in the off season but I would not recommend in high season as...

I would like to say first of all, that I am glad that little beach hotels like this can still be found. We stay at Tahitian on average twice a year. I honestly don't understand why people pay more for a hotel. Clean and comfortable is what we want. The staff is top notch, and vary helpfull. Not to mention freindly. I would like to commend Dawn. She is always ready to assist you, with everything from directions to local restaraunts, to making sure your room resevations hassle free. Remember that this hotel has been here almost as long as the island has been in existance.(Read up on that). If you are looking for an ultramodern party place,go down the road. We like the peace and quiet.

Room Tip: Pick anyone but ours

We really liked this place. Very clean and friendly staff. The ocean view was wonderful and great location. We also visited John Pass Village which we enjoyed very much which is in Madeira Beach. The US Armed Force Muesum on 34th Ave N is wonderful and worthwhile visiting.

Room Tip: Get the Gulf view.

We travel over to Treasure Island regularly to escape "city life" from Orlando and this was our first stay at this hotel; however, won't be our last! Location was central to the restaurants we enjoy visiting and the ocean view and access was perfect!!! Rooms are large and super clean with nice shared balcony areas as well as an oversized patio area to play shuffleboard or just relax. We didn't utilize the pool opting for the beach & ocean this trip, but it appeared to be a nice area and, again, very clean. We had the opportunity to interact with many staff members and all were very friendly! A minor complaint was the mattress in our room was due for a complete change - I don't think a flip would do the trick with the use it probably gets! A disappointment was we were planning on using the grill area as well; however, the gas grill was nearly out of propane, the charcoal grill was too unstable to use and the smoker/grill wasn't very clean. We found local fish restaurant we really enjoyed!!!

Room Tip: If staying in a King room check to see if mattresses replaced recently . . .
