“AMAZING and LUXURIOUS 3 bedroom penthouse suite (we called it our "Palace" in Treasure Island)”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

Our family of 5 (kids aged10,12 and 14) stayed in a 3 bedroom, penthouse suite and were AMAZED when walked in! The 1800+ square feet, comfortable beds/pillows/bedding, huge kitchen with eating bar, lovely comfortable leather and wood furniture, hardwood floors/tile (NO CARPET :)), huge walk-in closets in two of the bedrooms, attached bathrooms to each of the bedrooms and the gigantic deck with an awesome view of the Gulf of Mexico (accessible by 3 different sets of sliding doors) was LUXURIOUS. We were sad to have to check out a night early due to a 6:00am flight to catch the next day (decided to be at the airport instead but were sure sad to leave). The pool was nice (and always clean) for the children to play in (usually in the evening after a day at the beach). We loved that people leave (including us when we left) beach items such as umbrellas, chairs, buckets, shovels, boogie boards, etc. for others to share. People only "borrowed" what they needed and returned it at the end of their beach day. It was terrific to just have to purchase an umbrella and no other items that would be too difficult to bring home on the plane. There were always clean towels to use (pool or beach) and a drop off bin for used towels. We would recommend bringing your own large beach towels (laundry facility in our room was so wonderful to have) if you plan to "beach" it. We used the smaller pool towels supplied by the hotel to dry off etc. rather than to lay on. The only thing that we would have liked in addition to everything else is a common BBQ area to cook. Our kitchen was terrific (well stocked and any additional items we needed were delivered upon request) and we prepared many of our meals but would have enjoyed to BBQ too. We most definitely would stay here again (would stay no where else we loved it so much) and would highly recommend it to anyone :)

Room Tip: Penthouse suite is the way to go if you love to have space inside the room and a huge deck. The dec...

I have put a review on here even though we didn't stay here but because we booked it through Crystal Palms to stay in one of their condos at Sunset Vista which was one block up & on the beach.

Crystal Palms were still technically our 'front desk' & worked together with Sunset Vista.

Confirmation of our stay came through near to the time of visit from Crystal Palms, which included directions & where to check in. They informed us at check in that we could also use both sites amenities & not to hesitate to contact crystal palms for any questions etc, provided room keys & parking passes. Very polite staff & a very easy check in.

No negatives to report or issues we felt throughout our stay. There was a leak found in the master bathroom from the ceiling light. We quickly got in touch with the front desk at sunset vista as we thought it needed urgent attention. 3 men came from crystal palms & sunset vista within minutes & the matter was sorted. Excellent.

Our apartment was 3 bedroom staring straight at the gulf on the second floor 205/206, very clean, loads of towels & toiletries, huge kitchen with all the necessary. There was no noise at night from the bar below. Our room was cleaned & towels changed every day (crystal palms policy). Pool was lovely & again cleaned every day.

Great location, nice staff, lovely apartment. Thank you Crystal Palms & Sunset Vista

Room Tip: 205/206 - close to the pool & your parking bay is right under this apartment. Beautiful views of...

First time vacationing in Treasure Island. Chose Crystal Palms because of wonderful feedback & photos from other Trip Advisor members. Stayed in a two bedroom suite on the fourth floor. Suite was beautiful, clean and spacious. Less than a few minutes to walk to beach. The front desk staff were friendly & helpful. Added touches were personal parking space, beach chairs and boogie boards left from previous guests on an honor system to use. Two recommendations: replace worn carpet in bedrooms and have housekeeping come later in day. Two mornings they were knocking on door before 10:00 a.m. but brought this to managements attention. Would definitely return.

First off let me say that this is brand new hotel. It may not be right on the beach but is right across the street. We had a 2 bedroom condo. Although we ate out and did not cook. It was nice to have a full kitchen at our disposal.

We stayed a few nights so my husband could go deep sea fishing. He went out with a fishing tour in Johns Pass. Which we were closer enough to walk to but did not. He had a great time and caught a ton of fish.

Must do a short walk to the shake shack. Best butterscotch malt ever!

Also went to little Italian place for dinner and it was authentic and delicious! Can't recall the name of it but was just a few blocks away.

Also went to sloppy joes. Had the sloppy joe nachos, very good.

Will most definitely be back.

We actually stayed at the Sunset Vista, but booked through Crystal Palms Resort, because we wanted a 3 bedroom Gulf Front Suite. Magnificent helps sum up the stay we enjoyed. We had two balconies both overlooking the Beach and the Gulf itself. A two minute walk and you were in the warm waters of the Gulf, even at 7 o'clock in the morning the waters were very inviting. Again, a few yards away was the pool with shade and toys for the children to use in the pool. A fully equipped kitchen area, including ice making, dish washer and washer and dryer. Typical American enormous beds with plenty of closets and drawers for clothes. Numerous Beach eating places in very close proximity and Busch Gardens a short drive away. A must to visit is Johns Pass Village, a 5 minute drive away. Quirky shops, numerous restaurants and Dolphin seeking boat trips. Altogether an excellent stay at Treasure Island.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a Gulf view, the higher the better.

We just returned from a four night stay at the Crystal Palms. We had so much fun. The hotel is in a great location. We had three units and 10 people in our party. Our two bed/2 bath unit was clean upon arrival. The kitchen is like being at home! We actually only ate out for two meals. Every other time we ate in the unit. The pool was very nice. The hotel seemed pretty full but we never had issues getting lounge chairs. We thought it was nice that each unit had their own parking space.

The only improve, nets or suggestions I could make are:
1. Pull up the carpet in the units. Ours needed to be replaced.
2. Purchase some additional umbrellas or shade structures for the pool area.

This is a perfect place to bring your kids. (Big or small)

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the end. Nice big balcony. Higher floors are better!

Stayed at this hotel back in Jan 2013 and had a wonderful experience. Staff was wonderful.
My in-laws had forgotten to print out their boarding pass for the cruise we were booked for. Front desk allowed him use of their computer to log in and print it from their system. It was above and beyond what they needed to do and we were so grateful! We stayed in a higher balcony corner room facing the ocean and it was beautiful. I would not hesitant to stay there again.

Room Tip: Higher level corner balconies are huge with great views.
