“Nice place for the money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2011

I have wonderful 10-day stay in this hotel with my friends. The condo was spacious with the great view of the Bay (if you are lucky to get a room on the third or higher floor). It is equipped with everything necessary for long stay. It has a compact laundry washer and dryer allowing you to take home clean beach towels and clothes. I liked the large balcony with a table and chairs where we spent most evenings. The hotel position is convenient. It is only ca. 7 min walk to the beach. The beach is very wide by the way, and water was very clean and unusually warm. I also learned that the area has a lower probability of the bad weather comparing to other parts of Florida. Numerous restaurants and shops are located on the neighbor Madeira Beach Island at about 5 min driving distance from the hotel. Treasure Island is a rather quiet place and hence great for family vacation. If you want night life, you can drive to Clearwater Beach which is not far either (~30 min). The hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. The only issue is that if you return early from the beach it is likely that you find the room the way you left it (our room was the last on the floor). The hotel probably needs to hire more people to clean rooms in time. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody. We will definitely return to this place again.

We stayed five days at this hotel and never wanted to leave. Everything was great! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The pool and spa were clean and comfortable. We got a great nights sleep in this well cared for like new luxury condo. We will be back and recommend anyone visiting the area give them a try, you won't be sorry!

We couldn't have asked for more comfortable accommodations for our group of friends. The penthouse executive suite's bedrooms, all 3, are huge and each one had its own bath. Very comfortable beds too. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and cocktails. The pool was heavenly. We were delighted to find it was heated so we were able to enjoy it even on the cooler nights. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance and the trolley stops are close too. We have stayed up and down Gulf Boulevard in Treasure Island, St. Pete Beach and Madeira Beach, and the Crystal Palms is by far the nicest place yet. We will be back again!!

Spend Memorial Day Weekend with Family and Friends at this location and we couldn’t be happier…Our room was excellent. Two separate bedrooms one with a King Size Bed the other with a Queen Bed both very comfortable… Fully equipped kitchen, great balcony view, modern furnishing and very helpful staff. At arrival our A/C was not working but was promptly repaired and work perfectly (very cold) until we checkout. Beach access is across the street I advice to be ready for walk 1/3 of a mile at least not too bad…Pool was nice and well maintained. Although we eat most of the time in our room we venture around the area and eat at Sloppy Joes( See my Review) and visit the Pier in St Pete(Not too much to see there)…Overall we have a Great Time and I Highly Recommend this Property!!!

Note to the Staff of Crystal Palm:
Attention to detail is what will keep this property nice and wanting guest to come back. Your housekeeping crew do and outstanding job however they should focus on the smallest details like baseboards, shower walls, carpets, behind the couch and floor care much better..Please accept this as constructive criticisms…Is all about Attention to Detail!!

We went for a one night, weekend getaway with another couple, and it was superb.
Very friendly hotel staff, allowed us to check in three hours early, since our room was vacant! Covered parking so our car didn't get hot. Even let us keep our car there after we checked out while we spent day at the beach!
Great spacious room. Extremely clean. Incredibly comfy beds and pillows.
Master only had a shower, no where to store toiletries.
The Kitchen was a nice full size. Had a few pots and pans, but We only cooked breakfast, so was no problem for us. Alot of space, if staying for a long time, had a huge pantry to store stuff in, Fridge has freezer with ice maker that filled up the bucket with in a few hours.
Thermostat was set to 75, and we couldn't move it at all. No big deal since its summer and very hot out.
Balcony is beautiful, and despite being on the main road, we didn't mind the noise from the cars, it wasn't that bad, atleast to us.
Pool was great, Its not cholrine though, It is a salt pool that is heated. Hot Tub is a decent size. Con of pool: The material they used to surround pool is extremely hot to walk on going from chair to pool, etc.
Have to walk across street to get to beach, but no big deal. Its so pretty, didn't mind! Within minutes of great restaurants and a grocery Store and Liquor store!
Overall a great hotel, Already making plans to come back in a few monthes.

I cannot rate this hotel highly enough.

Our room was excellent. Two separate bedrooms with double beds. Fully equipped kitchen, great balcony, modern furnishing, very helpful staff , close to the beach.

Some recommendations (not critisms) for familes especially those from the UK:

-Defintely hire a car. There are some restaurants, shops that are close but not too much. Not much is walkable especially with a family (probably find the same problem for the vast majority of hotels in USA anyway),

-No kettle in the kitchen. Coming from the UK I can just about go without a cup a tea for two weeks but needed the sterilised water for my 6 months old. We just went to Wal-mart and got a kettle for $10.

-No Safe in the room. I thought that unusal and I my only real critism of the hotel.

Apart from that cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros-
Excellent location
Big roomy kitchen with new appliances
Comfortable beds and furniture
Flat-screen TV's in each bedroom and living area

Cons-
Street noise when the sliding glass doors are open (when they're closed the noise is not noticeable)
Ceiling fan remotes are not unique-someone in next room turns their fan AND my fan off, I turn both on, they turn both off and the battle is on.

Overall this location was comfortable and an excellent value. Beach is just across Gulf Blvd, John's Pass is less than a mile to the north, and there's easy, non-toll access from I-275. For those who like to do their own cooking, the kitchen is top notch, newer appliances, and all the necessary plates, glassware, and untensils. Beds and baths are great, and even a washer/dryer so you can pack light and wash clothes while you're there. The staff is very pleasant and accomodating. Wondeful view of the Treasue Island beach. Only negatives are the road noise when sliding glass doors are open, and the above mentioned ceiling fan remote cross-over. Overall excellent experience. We will return.
