“Friendly Staff, Comfy Rooms”
Reviewed May 19, 2014 via mobile

Enjoying a relaxing stay. The staff is lovely and so accommodating. The room is quite comfortable with everything we need. The kitchen is well equipped...just add food! The pool is inviting, and the property is located within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, with Johns Pass Boardwalk close by. Would definitely visit again!

I had made a reservation at the Oasis Palms Resort by looking at it online. I was a bit skeptical as we had made a reservation in Ft. Lauderdale for 1 nt. before a cruise last year and it was the worse place to stay! Anyway, we were extremely happy with The Oasis Palms as it was perfect for our vacation. Lisa and Frank the managers were extremely helpful and accommodating. Anything we needed they got us immediately. They are also very friendly. The grounds were well kept and everything was neat and clean. We received a call from a relative and they wanted to join us for a couple of nights. Fortunately they were able to book a room and loved it as well. We were in room 150. We opened the door and the pool was right there. I loved the oldies music playing at the pool. We love being where the action is. Many people staying there are repeat customers and have been going there for many years from the states as well as other countries. Mostly older people but not all. It was pretty quiet at night. For being on the main drag noise from traffic was not bad. We would recommend Oasis Palms and would definitely return. It is a bit of a walk to the beach for someone having difficulty walking, that's the only drawback. It was wonderful otherwise! Loved! Loved! Loved it!!

Room Tip: Near the pool was great!

Stayed for 2 nights after a long flight toTampa as it wasn't too long a drive from the airport and close to the lovely beach.
When booking I'd requested an upper floor, quiet room as I'm a very light sleeper. We had a basic room on the ground floor with a small en suite shower room. The bed was uncomfortably soft and appeared to be made up of more than one mattress. The wardrobe contained only 2 coat hangers so we lived out of our cases. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker but only plastic cups, one spoon and no glasses,
The room and towels were basically clean but everything was very tired with scuff marks on the walls and doors, noisy old air conditioner (impossible to leave on at night) and notices stuck up on walls warning about additional charges for not washing dishes etc.
We booked Oasis Palms because we don't like large impersonal hotels and hoped to experience some quirky Floridian charm. It's definitely quirky but didn't charm us.

Hate to give this place such a great review and maybe get shut out of out next visit down. Lisa and Frank are two of the nicest people we have met in a hotel and bend over backwards to help out. Older hotel, but, rooms are clean and grounds well maintained. If you are expecting a five star resort on the water, then I suggest checking into the big 250 dollar a night jobs on the other side of Gulf Blvd. Will we stay again, hell yeah. This is our fifth or sixth stay here and will be back if they are not booked.

Room Tip: We have stayed in several rooms over the years and all have been equally nice. Clean, and fairly we...

The rooms are clean with tile floors and the beach is just across the street. The air conditioners could have worker better but they didn't smell like so many of the nearby hotels do. Perfect place if you have a pet also. The rates are very reasonable.

This motel resort is located just s pleasant walk from the popular John's Pass tourist area. It has a lovely pool area with a good assortment of seating around the pool deck. It is a bit loud as it fronts right onto the busy Gulf Blvd. The rooms are large and comfortable. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, which provided a nice living area to watch the TV, or read a book. Perhaps another table lamp would be an idea. There is overhead lighting, but I am not a big fan of it. The kitchen is well equipped, but a good idea would be to bring your own cutting board. The really thin ones that don't take up space or weight. Staff was pleasant and took care of any needs that we had. I would recommend this resort.

Room Tip: If you have mobility issues stay on the main level, because the stairs may be difficult. We were awa...
