“great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

This property is in a perfect location if you are traveling to Treasure Island. Within walking distance to some great restaurants. The hotel is very well updated and the rooms are huge with a full kitchen. We had a one bedroom suite which has a full separate bedroom, a living room area, and a full kitchen. There are also two separate balconies in this size unit. We were lucky enough to be placed on the 8th floor, sunset side. The one downfall is that there is only one small, slow elevator to this building which you can sometimes have to wait a while for. The breakfast buffet was great! Had really good choices, even healthy ones (tasty yogurt parfait). The beach is right there and was very nicely maintained and not crowded. If we are ever in this area again we will definitely stay here!

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor on the sunset side. It's worth it!

This hotel is great my husband and ijust left after staying there for 4 nights,I requested a high floor but only got the 3rd floor still the views were great,I would think the higher must be just perfect! I was on sunset side 2balconys one off bedroom one off living room. I just can't say enough about this stay , everyone seemed very nice that worked there, the beach was very easy access from hotel, the walkway was great from the hotel about mile down very nice to walk down for exercise after supper! I highly recommended this hotel I have stayed at 2 other hotels in this area in the years past this by far has definetly been the best.

Great family place if you're a beach person and like to prepare your own meals (i.e. lunch and/or dinner) with full kitchen Breakfast is included in rate (buffet style( not bad althougth a bit crowded) Decent exercise room and decent pool- beach boardwalk a disappointment but not the hotels fault and a wide beach till you get to the Gulf- no beachchairs so bring your own or rent elsewhere.

Room Tip: closest to beach better views but hotel is build so most have ocean views from balcony so unless th...

My wife, myself and our 2 year old stayed here for one night and it turned out to be a beautiful hotel. A short walk/drive to various restaurants. The hotel itself has rooms that are well designed and laid out. Our room (902) had balconies for both he living area and the bedroom. The location on the beach is great and we found the room for about $100 cheaper than nearby resorts, which are too loud and honestly too old to enjoy.

Room Tip: Ninth floor, 901 or 902

Granted, we probably shouldn't have come here during Spring Break, but it was the only Marriott property on Treasure Island that sat right on the beach. That part of it was nice. We were looking for a nice two days on the beach. The rest of the hotel, not so much. I've stayed in over 30 Residence Inn's in this country, and this property seemed like a conversion meaning it was another brand that Marriott took over. The staff was incredibly friendly and check in was a breeze, the rooms and hallways were clean, but the rooms are not a full kitchen like most Residence Inn properties. Also, there are two towers (one beach side and one street side). The beachside tower has only ONE elevator servicing 9 floors of rooms and the wait is terrible if you are on a high floor. The pool is on the small side, and the jacuzzi is standard. My biggest problem was that the hotel staff let the families who were there for perhaps a week of "break" run amok in the hotel. There was no supervision enforced around the pool area or jacuzzi, and as two adults just wanting to relax it was impossible. (I was also appalled at the adults who didn't care what their children did). There is a complimentary happy hour Mon-Fri, however you couldn't step foot in the lounge because of all the people crammed in there for free booze. Again, we probably shouldn't have come during that particular month, but you do expect some sort of hotel "etiquette" or having standard safety rules enforced. Maybe this property is lovely other times of the year, but honestly we will never go back.

Room Tip: The beach side tower as the great views of the ocean. But be aware there is only one elevator on th...

Thank you for taking the time to post your review on TripAdvisor!

The Residence Inn by Marriott, Treasure Island is located directly on the beach of Treasure Island. We are a 105 all suites hotel, providing our guests with the luxuires of home and a beach view!

Our Studio, One, Two and Three Bedroom Suites feature kitchen setups and balconies which give way to a partial sun, sand and sea view. All of our rates include complimentary breakfast, wifi, parking, access to our beachfront pool, whirlpool spa, direct beach access, 24 hour fitness center, business center and our lobby bar, serving daily happy hour specials.

The Residence Inn by Marriott, Treasure Island is one of the few Residence Inn's, directly on the beach and one of the only Marriott's on the entire West Coast of Florida, directly on the beach. That status makes our hotel a very popular travel destination!

For your conveience, our property has 2 elevators to carry you to some of the highest views in Treasure Island. During peak season, guests will occasionally report longer than average wait times for our elevators. We understand that our guest's well deserved vacation time is valuable and we make it priority to inform our guests of the best ways to travel to and from their rooms.

We only ask for patience and understanding as it can be busy during popular times such as when guests check out and/or break from the sunshine for some lunchtime. Afterall, vacation is a time to slow down and relax!

We are glad to have had the opportunity to serve you as our guest and look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back again!

Always Sunny,

Erica Berlepsch

We recently stayed here for one night and were very pleased with our experience. You can't go wrong staying here. Newly remodeled, clean pool, clean hot tub, beautiful beach, within walking distance to dining, customer friendly staff, and excellent hot breakfast in the mornings.

I found this hotel several years ago when my family was looking for a place to stay in the area. I went there to see first hand what it looked like. I wanted to see if the pictures online matched up to the real thing. I was greeted and shown around the tour of the different rooms available. It is beautiful. The rooms are large, the suites are amazing. The beds are comfortable. Each room has a beautiful view. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet is delicious and plentiful. The pool area is clean, the walk to the beach in soft sand is perfect. Every night a beautiful sunset. Parking is free.
This is now our family hotel of choice for local hotels, I recommended to everyone we know that lives in or comes to the area.
