Wife and I saw the sign from the road and were curious ... we both love a good cup of coffee and typically all we find is an Einstein's or a Dunkin'. Nothing against those places, but they are bagel or donut places that serve good coffee. THIS is a fantastic COFFEE place that serves a small selection of gourmet comfort food on the side, items that you will appreciate with a gourmet cup of coffee.
Their philosophy is "gourmet coffee roasted exclusively for you." That's not a sales pitch - it's real - they roast the coffees right there, in the large green machine you see as you walk in.
We chose one hot and one iced Guatamalen roast with a custom mocha and cream added in. These are all pure roasts of the world 's finest coffees, they do not add-in a flavor at roasting, but use gourmet methods to enhance and complement the natural flavor. They limit the variety of the add-ins and add-ons to be sure the gourmet roast is what you are experiencing, not the add-on flavors.
Small and cozy, decorated with an ocean motif, apparently the owner is Australian, and it works. It's fun! There are tables for 2 or 4 for a meal, or choose a sofa, or a comfortable chair, bring your reading material or a laptop and yes of course there is free wifi.
Since it was SOOO GOOOD we also took home a pound of the freshly roasted Guatamalen along with a can of the gourmet mocha to stir in with it. Ask the staff questions - they are knowledgeable about the world's coffee trade and very much enjoy speaking about it - and they will help you find what you will truly enjoy.
This is their first store, and roasting facility. I found out they will be opening another in Palm Beach Gardens soon, along PGA, so watch for info on that.
Warning: price. Good quality coffee and the knowledge you need to experience the perfect cup is not cheap. Still, it tasted so good and smooth it was well worth it!
We will be back!
