Worth a stop to walk the boardwalk and view birds that were injured in the wild then cared for here...Pelicans were walking on the boardwalk next to us! Highly educational and fun for kids of all ages...drop a few dollars in the donation box (optional) to help care for the birds...

“Birds, Birds & More Birds”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

I truly enjoyed the tour of the Rehabilitation Center. We did miss feeding time but we noticed, at bay side, how the wild birds waited as well for the opportunity to feed. It was good to see the efforts made on behalf of injured birds to "rehabilitate" them by trying to reduce dependance upon their humans caregivers as much as possible, other than feeding from a distance and giving medical care when needed. We were introduced to the few birds which would never be able to leave the sanctuary due to the severity of their injuries, but living healthy, sociable lives as their isolation from humans was no longer an issue. I commend the work done there.

“Small but worth a stop”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

Just a small rehab facility that accepts donations (no entrance fee). One can walk through the facility and see some real birds up close. Don't expect interaction with staff - they were around and busy feeding, etc, but are clearly not there to educate.

“Great attraction”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

This attraction is really low key and does not ask for an entrance fee but a donation. I took both my kids and they loved it. It is really rustic and homely and never crowded the birds are great to look at and the scenery is amazing. The parrots at the start steal the show and are athe main attraction.
