“Do not buy paddle boards from them!!”
Reviewed August 31, 2013 via mobile

I went to their store in Key Largo a couple months ago to price a used paddle board. One of the cheaper ones they had was only $750 and they said all it needed was a paint job (which was very true.) There wasn't any visible damage to it, just a bit worn. There were two Paddle stickers on the bottom of the board which I payed no attention to at the time of my purchase. After about a month or so, when I decided to begin the painting process, I removed the stickers only to discover they were covering holes!! You'd think that if they were true retailers, they would have had it properly fixed or even mentioned to the purchaser! I'd look at other options before buying anything from them.

We occasionally sell USED boards. We do our best to inform the purchaser of any issues that the board might have. We also encourage our customers to come to us first if they have any issues and we will address them in a way that works for everyone.

“Have to do it again.”
Reviewed August 2, 2013 via mobile

Had the best time here. Very friendly staff. Drove out to where we had to start our kayak tour. The views were very impressive. Great work out but you won't know it because your having so much fun. Our tour guide Josh was very patient with us. Coming from NY City we are not use to kayaking. Well do it again next year.

“Nature Lovers / Water Lovers Unite”
Reviewed July 10, 2013 via mobile

Yes it is fun! No it is not difficult! If you've seen people standing up on these things pushing themselves around on the water, wondering what or why they're doing it, by all means, go find out for yourself. It is much easier than it looks and is a very fun and laid back outdoor activity where you can a) get some sun, b) get a little exercise without being strenuous, c) see places and wildlife you may otherwise never get to see, and d) enjoy a fun and healthy adventure with your loved ones. There are so many reasons to do it!!

Sarah was an awesome guide - she is young and cool, well-spoken and educated. She is really into her job and shares all kinds of interesting info with paddlers while on the water. First, she is very helpful in giving easy-to-understand tips to new paddlers regarding form and technique and she doesn't make anyone feel stupid! Then, once we were all out, she pointed out many plant and wildlife, as well as historical, details which made out tour educational as well as just plain fun. Thank you, Sarah!

Seriously, I could do this everyday. And I believe our teenagers had a blast as well. Even old daddy did ok without using his "sea legs" - he didn't fall off once. PS...But even if you do fall off, hey it's like this, you get wet. So? Feels great! And it's very easy to get back on the board.

If you have paddled before and/or if you even own your own board, this company will be a great resource for you to connect with other local paddlers and join up on their various tours through Meet Up. Very cool people who you will be glad you met. They are a pleasure to do business with. Thank you, Scott!

Another cool option is to have them deliver boards to your place if you're staying on the water. We did this one day - FREE delivery - 24 hr rental! We are on a canal and did this our first time to decide if we would like it. After going up and down our canal, we decided to head out to the ocean and take a neighboring canal to the Island Dolphin Center. This was ultra-cool because you can swim right up to the dolphins which are behind only an underwater fence :). Anyway, the winds picked up and we weren't able to paddle back out into the ocean so we headed for land and called Paddle! for a rescue. Joe came and picked us up where we were, helped us get the boards up the hill and loaded, then gave us a ride home - nice as pie. Thank you, Joe!

Overall, I'd say if you are to visit the keys, plan a day or at least a half day, to work this in. You won't be disappointed.

Very Important Notes:
1-Remember to apply sunscreen BEFORE you get out there
2-BRING YOUR WATER BOTTLE from home.
3-Water shoes will be very handy. I like mine walking on coral to launch but remove them while paddling.
4-A dry bag is a smart purchase for your keys and phone (if you must have it, ugh!) You have strap downs for a few things but hey, don't bring the kitchen sink, ya know? Plan on everything getting wet!
5-A hat and maybe a skin or tshirt if you are fair.
6-Bug repellant individually packaged wipes for your dry bag just in case. I wouldn't put it on unless necessary - we had no problems our day - but man, it IS the keys, so always be prepared with your "Key Largo Perfume" aka mosquito repellant.

Don't forget to tip! They work hard for their money and living in the keys costs 3x what it does anywhere else.

“First time paddling tour”
Reviewed June 26, 2013

We've been kayaking in the Keys before but we decided to try a tour this time. Our guide was Trish who was outstanding with our family. She was very easy going and did a great job preparing us and then running our tour. Everything was exactly as she said it would be and we saw lots of life and different areas. She was especially good with helping the kids get comfortable on the equipment and making sure they all had a chance to see different things. This is a great way to see and explore some different areas of the Keys and have a great adventure.

“Up close to nature”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

My husband and I did the Dove Creek tour on a tandem kayak, with Trish as our guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and a good kayaking teacher, too! The area is so serene and you are right there as close as you can get to nature. The best part was seeing a huge turtle swimming right next to us. Looking forward to our next trip to go out on the Sunset Park route. They were very flexible to meet our schedule, and doing the 2 hour trip was just right for us amateurs. But I think next time I'll go in my own kayak so I don't do all the hard labor while hubby sits back and enjoys the scenery!
