“Great Italian Dinner!”
Reviewed May 22, 2012

We were guided to this restaurant by the owners of the B&B where we were staying. The food was "super" and the owner very warm and friendly! If I were to have any negative comment. it would be that the dinner SALAD was sorely lacking. A few lettuce leaves, and a slice of tomato does not make a salad. We will definately return, however, because the main course more than makes up for any salad "flaw"!

“Little Gem's Worth A Visit”
Reviewed April 6, 2012

This Italian restaurant is tucked away and easily overlooked. We ate there twice - once as a couple on the covered outdoor patio at the front and another time inside with a larger group. Both times the wait staff were pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. The food quality was great and exactly as expected, service was quick without being rushed and the cost of both the food and wine was reasonable considering the quality. Is the least expensive place to eat in Tavares - no. Does it represent great quality and value - absolutely!

“An Italian treat in Central Florida”
Reviewed April 4, 2012

With a wonderful ambiance and a very attentive waitstaff I couldn't wait to try the food. When in an Italian place for the first time i always try the pasta and sauce. i can judge the food based on that alone! I was to be pleasantly surprised when I received my entree that yes, indeed this was authentic Italian. The appetizer of olives and cheese was superb and plenty.... The spaghetti and meatballs felt like a home kitchen. The meatballs were extra ordinary and melted in my mouth. A great experience that i would not have expected in this little village. Owners Rocco and his wife were there watching over the entire place ...it was a bit busy and I did feel a bit rushed, not by the staff but wanting to alow some one else to have my table and enjoy this great find.

“One of the best!”
Reviewed March 29, 2012

A gem in this small town. Great food and upscale atmosphere where the owner Rocco is from Naples and his wife Gina from Genoa. The owners are there every day and Rocco is the chef, this says enough, you know the food is good! Great meatballs and a wide range of great Italian foods. A gem, find it if you are in the area.

“Nice atmosphere/Food just okay”
Reviewed February 2, 2012

I have eaten at Casa Mia several times and find their food to be bland and some pasta dishes have an uncooked flour taste. I do like the atmosphere but the service is on the cold side and the owners, who are usually present, don't acknowledge the diners or ask how they are enjoying their meal. I have given this restaurant enough chances and will not be back.
