“Authentic and excellent”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

We've been to most of the Greek restaurants in the area (which has a large and active Greek population). Mykonos consistently features excellent food in a not-too-large dining room where you feel as though you've travelled to Greece.

The owner and the servers speak Greek to one another (and to many of the patrons), and you might need some help deciphering some of the items on the menu.

But what really makes you feel transported is the taste of the food: It is authentic cooking, and excellent. My only downstroke is that occasionally the service seems impersonal, and I've had to wait for my check too long several times.

But I always go back, and will continue to do so. Hope to see you there the next time.

“Authentic Greek Food and atmosphere”
Reviewed April 12, 2014 via mobile

We had both lamb and chicken gyros, abd sausage wraps... All delicious. The best were the Greek fries. Thin, wide cut, crispy cuts of fries cooked in olive oil and sprinkled with oregano. Delish! We were surprised to find that hummus is not Greek but middle eastern. They didn't have any. The fried cheese was good. Looks small but it is plenty as an appetizer for 4. An older place, small and rather close, no upgrades or fanciness, as you might find in old Greece. Could have looked just a bit cleaner for 5 stars for me.

“Great Greek Cooking”
Reviewed April 11, 2014

Always great Greek home style cooking in a quaint village across from the fishing docks of Tarpon Springs.

“Good food, fair service, very poor table placement”
Reviewed April 9, 2014

Enjoyed a decent meal here with husband and another couple for lunch. Good Greek salad and gyros. Service slow and they were not that busy. What I really disliked about this place is the tables are all very close together and I could not pass by the table next to us to access the ladies room, I had to walk out of the room we were in to the first room where you enter the restaurant, and then to the back, through the room we were seated in and finally reached the ladies room. There are just too many tables and chairs packed in to too small of an area.

“What happend to good greek place”
Reviewed April 3, 2014

We went to this restaurant over the years and always looked forward to it. But what a bad surprise - like most of the "old" restaurants Tarpon Springs is in decay. As our first impression was that we were hopping not to get serviced by the waitress that just took the order 2 tables down but resting her "behind" on the empty table behind her. When she was asked how the potatoes prepare the waitress reply: everybody loves them and left it at that. Nevertheless turned out we are the lucky ones to get her too. Besides that she couldn't get our order straight and is was a hassle to get the appetizers and the main course organized - she showed real professional behavior when she open the beer bottle and the cap fell on the floor and she watch it where it land & left it there. I guess somebody else is in charge of those. The food was not bad bad but nothing like it used to be. The food combined with the lousy service in more than one place - we are saving money to go the Greece and call Tarpon Springs history.
