Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art is a wonderful museum that exhibits 20th and 21st century art. Docent tours are given on Sundays at 2:00 PM. Do not miss this little gem in Tarpon Springs, you will not be disappointed. Excellent for couples, family with children, teens, friends and solos.

“A Touch of Class”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2013

During my trip to enjoy the Greek sponge docks in Tarpon Springs, I came upon the Leepna-Rattner Museum of Art a few miles away. Night and Day. This sophisticated oasis contrasts sharply with the hustle and bustle of the docks. The small campus of St. Petersburg College is home to this outstanding museum. Small in scale, it is replete with wonderful examples of both European contemporary art and American responses to the War years. Abstract and non-objective pieces are tastefully displayed in a beautiful setting which is very soothing. A visitor can really savor the extensive collection along with temporary exhibitions. Admission for seniors is only $5 and AAA members received a discount. Can't beat that.

“Intimate, 'up close and personal' art museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2013

Located on the campus of St. Petersburg College in Tarpon Springs, this art museum is relatively small, compared to those in larger cities. So, it perhaps should not be considered a "destination museum." But, whether you are an art aficionado or newbie, if you find yourself in the area, do check out this lovely little art museum. It has a wonderful collection of art by Leepa, Rattner, glass artist Dale Chihuly and others. And, because it is not as expansive as others, your visit to the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, I think, will be a more intimate and 'up close and personal' experience. Admission is reasonable, staff are informative and helpful, and there is a nice on-site shop where you can browse and buy - and plenty of free on-campus parking. Plus if you are also planning on visiting the Sponge Docks while in Tarpon Springs, the Leepa-Rattner Museum will provide some pleasant, calming balance to your day.

Spent three enjoyable at the museum on the college campus. Interesting modern art by two artists, in a very nice museum. Very stylish art glass collection that was well displayed. Grounds of museum a great place to have a picnic.

“Nice Art Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

We went to the museum in January for a private showing of the Minature Art Society of Florida's annual show. This is the second time that we have been there, for the same reason. The minature art displayed is always outstanding. It is unbelievable the details that the artists from all over the world (mainly the US) can portray in a small (2" x 3" sometimes smaller) painting. They use all different medias (watercolor, oil, pencil, pastel & 3 dimensional sculptures). We did not have enough time to really visit the rest of the museum. What we saw on the first floor was nice and the shop had a lot of interesting articles for sale.
