I stayed at The Hampton Inn in Tarpon Springs, Florida in June 2011 and July 2010.
It is clean, organized and convenient for Rt 19 destinations.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection great.
I especially appreciated this customer service since I had a busy schedule in Florida.

I'm giving this hotel 4 stars. It's the same rating I gave to the Ritz Carlton in Atlanta. By no means am I saying these hotels are on a comparable level. Instead, I'm rating the hotel against its competition - so, other mid-grade hotels like holiday inn and courtyard.

The hotel is located directly on US19 and within 5 minutes of the Tarpon sponge docks. If you haven't been, and especially if you like Greek food, I'd highly recommend checking out that area. The hotel was clean, parking abundant, and check-in a breeze. As a Hilton Gold member, they upgraded me a suite. The room was spacious, separated into a living and sleeping area. Breakfast in the morning was standard Hampton Inn. As always, I appreciated the option of making my own belgian waffle. The breakfast area was kept up very well, all options were warm, and the food seemed decently fresh.

If I return to Tarpon Springs, I would definitely look to this hotel first.

P.S. I don't know if there was an angry employee or what was going on, but there was a very bizarre message put up on the hotel sign. I am attaching a photo.

Room Tip: enroll in Hilton Honors program.

As a Hilton Honors member, it is nice to be greeted by name. This is a typical Hampton, very clean, comfortable rooms with no frills. Staff is very accommodating and helpful. Free wi-fi is always available. On hot days, the nice pool is a blessing. I usually have a room on the ground floor, near the back entrance. This is the quiet area, away from the highway, elevator, and drink machines.

As HHonors gold members we received an upgrade to a suite which offered lots of room. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was clean but did have a worn look. If road noise bothers you be sure to ask for a room located in the rear of the Inn. We could hear the traffic from busy route 19.
The lobby and pool area are quite attractive and inviting. As others have mentioned the breakfast was more than satisfactory. DH appreciated the fresh glazed doughnuts.

This is a typical Hampton Inn. The lobby was nice, but the room decor was lacking. There was an odd odor in the room, and the overhead lighting were flourescent bulbs...and that just gives off an icky feeling. Yet, the bed was very comfortable- which I guess is the most important thing. There are not too many options in Tarpon Springs, so this is probably the best.
