The food is rather pricey but you pay for the view. Our waitress was nasty & walked away like we were annoying her. The service was very slow. Two of our chairs had legs that were wobbly & we switched them out ourselves. As the other review says, sides are expensive. They have homemade potato chips which were very good & overall the food was good. We were there for lunch on a Sunday so it wasn't too crowded. On the way out, I noticed a sign with good beer prices.

The restaurant has an outdoor cabana right on the water with a large seating area. There's also an indoor/outdoor sports bar upstairs with great views. The food was very good the first night we went to dinner and the service was great. One of my friends had the fish and chips and said it was very tasty. That was a Thursday night. We went back on that Sunday for lunch before flying home and although the service was great again, the fish and chips was done in a different batter and didn't taste as good. They also ran out of taco shells, jalapenos for the chili, Patron for margaritas and some of the t-shirts they're trying to sell. Considering the inventory stocking issues they may have run out of the batter they used on the fish and chips the first night and had to go to Plan B. I really liked the place and the staff was outstanding but the person responsible for ordering supplies needs to wake up. We skipped the margaritas at lunch and when my friend went upstairs trying to buy a t-shirt that was out of stock we heard people at the bar also order Patron. They had a beer instead. The place lost some good revenue in a short period of time while we were there. Management needs to step up!

The venue is great, at the Tarpon Marina and the Grouper sandwich is consistently the best but. The service was very poor, the extra cost onion rings and fries we cold and greasy. Still a cool place in a warm weekend day but to bad with the poor service and bad sides.

Great place for a no-frills casual meal. Open air deck overlooking the marina, watch the sunset and smile. Sandwiches (grouper, cuban) are usually good and their homemade chips are awesome (no need to pay extra to upgrade to fries!) Sandwiches are around $10. Wouldn't really recommend trying gourmet/expensive items here. They are not breaking any culinary boundaries but solid casual/bar food.

They usually have good drink specials and cheap beer ($2 for 16 ounce can of Rolling Rock) and sometimes cover bands play their on the weekend.

Service is good, atmosphere is relaxed and 'Florida'!

We ate dinner at Captain Jacks after exploring the sponge dock near by. It looked like a fun place to dine and it was. We stopped on a sunny Wed. afternoon and were quickly seated on a table right on the water. The waiter was very friendly and returned with our drinks very quickly. We all had the All You Can Eat Fish Special which comes with cold slaw and fries. We also had a side order of mozzarella sticks. They were very good and we enjoyed them before our fish came. You will be surprised at the large portions you get with your first plate of fish. Fish had a light breading the melted in your mouth. Fries were tasty as was the cold slaw. 3 of us had a second piece of fish and that was all we could eat. We are from Wisconsin and enjoy a good Friday night fish fry and this is as good as we have found back home. We were not rushed when we finished even though it was quit busy. Prices were fair as usually food is more expensive the closer you are to the water, not so here. When your in the Tarpon Springs area come for the feast and enjoy the view
