I booked 2 rooms for this hotel prior to my sister's wedding cruise. It was middle of December 2013 and the roads were under construction making it difficult to find the entrance of the hotel. After trying out several street, we finally arrived in the hotel. The receptionist told us the room was not ready and unfortunately we have to wait. While we waited we went to get some drink and food in the restaurant. The bar tender was totally exhausted (she was on her own) attending to the plentiful hotel guests waiting to be served. She tried hard to smile but the stress is overcoming her nerves. We finally have our drinks/food and we checked 30 minutes later the check-in time. The room that I booked for my sister and her family was not ready and finally we got the key from reception at 18:00/ 3 hours after the normal check-in time. As I complained, the hotel give us the complimentary breakfast.
We have dinner at Shula's which was lovely and a steak is one of the best, but quite pricey. The extra bed which I paid extra was HORRENDOUS, and very dated with the spring protruding out from the foam. It was a nightmare to be given a room like this especially if you have an AMBASSADOR membership. The receptionist apologised and refunded 100 dollars, but truly is not worth it, I would rather pay the extra 100 dollars and have a better bed/sleep. The pool was run-down and looks dirty.
The breakfast was totally chaos, we waited for 15 minutes to be seated in a 1/4 full room which I am not sure why guests has to wait that long. Breakfast buffet are very limited and not enjoyed it at all. With disappointment I would not recommend this hotel. They badly needed refurbishment and maybe staff!

Stayed here after attending a concert in Tampa. The driveway was overcrowded and made it difficult to maneuver through when we first arrived. After finding the garage, free parking was plentiful. Check-in staff was very friendly. Room was clean and the bed was excellent. We did hear opening and closing of doors throughout the early morning. We would return when in the area again.

This hotel is beautiful! And a bonus is that there is a Shula's restaurant within the hotel!! The bed was VERY comfortable as well. But...because this hotel is downtown and much of the building is glass....noise is a problem when trying to sleep. The constant sound of loud vehicles or sirens is a downer. There are not many channels on the t.v. to choose from. Lastly and the most surprising to myself is that they offer POWDERED coffee creamer in the rooms! This is an upscale hotel so they should take heed in reflecting this in every way possible. It's the little things that make a difference.

I stayed at this property for 2 days for a business trip. The room I was assigned shared a wall with the elevator, the tub wouldn't drain, and the place smelled like mildew. I asked for a new room and was eventually given one after several unanswered calls to the front desk. When speaking to a colleague, I told him about my room and found out it was the exact room that he moved out of the night before for the same problems. The issues were never addressed. The rooms looking over the courtyard were awful as you cant open your curtains or you will see people in their offices who can also see you.

The banquet staff was very efficient. The only good part about my stay was two staff members who were friendly and very helpful during my stay. They were Jeff (concierge/reception?) and the housekeeper in my new room Crescencia Anwaro.

Room Tip: Don't stay in a room that ends in an even number, it looks into the offices across the courtyard and you will have no privacy. Stay away from the elevator.
