“Good italian option if you don't want a chain”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2012 via mobile

We are on vacation in the area and like to try restaurants that are not chains. Antonio's was recommended by our hotel. For a Friday night, the wait was only about 15 minutes. My husband was unable to get the bartender's attention to order a drink during our wait which was a bit off-putting initially. The place was packed which is usually a good sign to me. Service at our table was quick and mostly attentive. We only had to ask to have one drink refreshed. The food was fairly priced and tasted good. I had the tuna and it was slightly over cooked but the sauce was delicious. The set up of the restaurant was my biggest disappointment. It felt more like a Denny's than what I think of for a place I want to eat dinner. We were at a table right in the middle of a lot of traffic and didn't feel like we had a lot of privacy. The interior seemed a bit dated. Overall, it was a good dinner and we were happy to support a local restaurant.

“Long drive for us, but when we're in the area we ALWAYS stop in”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2012

We found this wonderful italian restaurant when we first visited Tampa area looking for a home from the recommendation of an acquaintence at our hotel. SO GLAD we did. We ate there often because it wasn't far from hotel, quality food, and always ordered extra to make sure we took to have leftovers. Unfortunately we moved south of Tampa, but anytime we are even near intersection of I-4 & I-75 we drive out of our way to eat here.
FOOD: Italian and tastes homemade, not out of a SYSCO can. Vegs are never overcooked. We've had everything from salads, shrimp, chicken, and even pizza. While their pizza is good, we'd rather enjoy entrees and salad there because of fresh ingredients AND we always order a full salad & entree to make sure we have leftovers to take home. Their entree & sandwich portions are ample and when combined with salad there is often at least a little to take. The restaurant is extremely clean, as are the restrooms while definately not a new building they've maintained it well.

“Excellent Salads”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2012

3 of us ate at Antonio's and we all had entree salads. Every one was big and fresh and delicious. Grilled chicken was perfectly prepared and the dressings were tasty. The bill with drinks was $35 ish, so a little pricey for a business lunch but worth the extra. Service was friendly and excellent.

“Great Experience!”

This restaurant is great if you are looking for a change from the everyday chain restaurants. Very tasty, the portions are big. Very well worth the money, reasonably priced. Our hostess was very attentive and pleasant. Will be going back :)

“Average food but overall a good experience !”

I was told about Antonios by the shuttle driver at the hotel we were staying at down the road and it pays to ask the locals were to eat ! We had a verity of dishes and nobody had and complaints even had a very good mojito to start the meal and a expresso. We didn't sample the desserts but they had a large selection. I would go back again .
