Hubby and I chose this as a last minute, quick one night getaway from Orlando area. We were just looking for a nice room with a water view where we could chill out. All the rooms are suites with full kitchens and living room area which suits us perfectly! It is clean, A/C works great, nice flat screen TVs, kitchens equipped with basic dishes, silverware, and pots. It is oddly in an area of office buildings and a couple upscale, gated apartment complexes, about a 10 minute drive to stores. There is a nice "beach" sandy area on the bay with a tiki hut and chairs, sand volleyball court and charcoal grills. There is a nice pool and pool bar (we didn't order anything there though). We loved being able to grill our own dinner (seafood and veggies that we bought at Publix), relax on the private balcony overlooking the bay while enjoying beverages out of the refrigerator! Just know that this is not a resort type hotel - more like an extended stay hotel with a pool and pool bar on the bay. The only negative things I have are that the coffee pot wasn't working - we finally realized that it was because the outlets are so old that the plugs almost fall out - we switched outlets and it worked. BUT, we had requested another one before we figured that out and no one ever brought it despite 2 calls to the front desk. Also, the bed was not super comfortable, but not terrible either! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return.

We booked the hotel through Hotels Tonight as a place to stay prior to flying out the next morning. I was very confused by the place at first and is set-up more condo style than a hotel. The room was overall very large and clean, but bedroom very small. My biggest complaint is the location......its in a very strange place with businesses located all around. I absolutely loved the grounds! We sat out on the patio area and watched the sunset. They also had sand volleyball and a fire pit. Very laid back and cool hidden gem :)

Room tip: I'm not sure that I would say "free" internet - all rooms have a Resort Fee and included in the price.

This is my second stay here. The floors in the room were so dirty our feet were black, we had to ask to have them cleaned. There was no tissue in the room either. They came in on the third day to supposedly clean and all they did was empty the trash and change the towels, and those they didn't even hang up. The bed wasn't made and we had to pull the down comforter off the bed due to stains. Our toilet seat looked like it sat in the sun and was blistered. The glass bowls in the cabinet looked dirty, there was popcorn on the floor between the fridge and cabinet, crumbs on top of the microwave. The valence in one of the bedrooms was bent. Not sure what is going on as the last time we were here the room was clean. The one good thing is the response time was very quick. I do love the views, and the pool and sand area are very nice.

Thank you for your review and I am so sorry to hear what you experienced. As you know, as you have stayed with us prior, this is a normal thing. I will definitely get with out housekeeping manager to review these issues and address the staff who had cleaned (or not cleaned so well) your room along with our maintenance team to correct these issues. We are currently in the process of having all of the carpets in our rooms deep cleaned as well. We do hope we can welcome you back once again as a repeat guest.

The hotel was ok/ Not really bay front but on the bay. The area was spartan, not many places to go without taking a good drive. Check in and out was easy and no problems occurred. Parking seemed to be plentiful and covered. The room was nice and spacious. Only problem was the size of the water heater. Three adult uses quickly empties the small hot water heater. Would I stay there again? Not sure. Depends on the price at the time of the need.

Thank you for your review. We are glad that overall you enjoyed your stay with us. We appreciate your feedback and I will pass your comments on. However, I am afraid, there isn't a whole lot we can do about the size of the water heater as it is based on the area available to house the unit being as all units are individual condo/hotel units. Please be sure to call us directly next time so we can off you our repeat guest discount!

We chose Sailport Waterfront Suites because of its location to the Tampa Port. Not only did they pick us up at the airport upon arrival, but it was free. After check-In we inquired how to get to a local restaurant (Bahama Breeze) and were told that they have a free shuttle there. They dropped us off and were waiting after we finished our meal. The next morning the shuttled us to the Port so we could catch our cruise, the cost was minimal ($10 pp) and arranged for pickup and transfer to the airport upon completion of our cruise. The suite itself was huge with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathroom. Our suite had a balcony that overlooked the Bay area !! Overall it was perfect, it fit our every need.
